What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
- I’ve previously been a GOC CO for around ten months, and served as an Overseer Assistant for approximately a month. I am more than capable, and comfortable, with acting with tact and discipline as befitting a position of clearance level four.
As I have had previous experience as an Overseer Assistant, I understand the duties and responsibilities of the job and I believe I fulfilled them more than proficiently previously, and am prepared to do so again.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
- First and foremost, responding to and following up on orders given by the O5 Council.
- Assisting in reviewing departmental leaders in order to ensure departments under the Council are running smoothly.
- Ensure the Code of Conduct is being followed by all Foundation personnel.
- Authorizing A.A. for Containment Breaches, following the hierarchy amongst the Foundation. IE, only authorizing it when no one above Assistant is on site able to.
- Making all efforts to ensure RP on the server is flourishing, whether that means creating or assisting in other’s RP efforts.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
“No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.”
Some say there are only two sure things in life: Death, and taxes. Plants sprout, unfurl, bloom, wilt, and return to the Earth. Animals are born, learn to walk and run and hunt, to eventually find themselves too old or too sick, laying down one day to be subsumed by the steady process of rot. Catherine learned what death was early on in life. She also learned that she would do damn near anything to never find out what it felt like to die.
After many years of study, her dissertation on the scientific endeavours to find an engineered “Fountain of Youth” led to both her expulsion and an interest placed in her by the occult world.
One such organization was the SCP Foundation, whose vast labyrinthine facilities hold many secrets to the many religions of the world, including the numerous answers each hold as to what lies beyond a singular mortal life. Her sharp intelligence landed her a job quite quickly, however, the almost Doctor Harper chafed at the restraints placed on her by her level two clearance. Answers to what lay beyond the grave seemed to lie above her paygrade and so she aimed to lift the veil placed in front of her eyes. After swiping a higher level card and snooping through the decades of research copied to SCIPnet, Catherine was taken into custody by R.A.I.S.A agents after a failed identity check.
Fate seemed to hold a different path for her, as an Overseer who was notified of the security breach seemed to find special interest in her research; more importantly, her frenzied will to live. She was sent to Site-65 to continue her studies and to finish what she aimed to do so long ago.
To supersede death itself.
