Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
I have been advised by individuals within Site Administration and within ISD that they believe I would be a good fit for the role, and I would make a positive contribution to the foundation in the role. I would like to further my career within the ISD department by being a strong and positive asset within the ISD department, by continuing to assist in quality investigations and the ongoing training and betterment of new ISD members.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
I have been involved with a wide range of RP scenarios during my time with the ISD department; including two tribunals, interdepartmental investigations, mediating formal interdepartmental disputes [GENSEC/Research], and countless standard day-to-day operations of the ISD department. I believe my exposure to this wide range of activities makes me a good candidate for supporting the training of new ISD members, and further supporting the department overall.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
An ideal ISD Inspector would be someone that has a commitment to supporting the development of themselves and of new ISD staff. An Inspector should always produce high quality investigations, and strive to set a standard of quality for the work that ISD performs. An ideal Inspector not only upholds and protects the regulations of the foundation in a fair and just manner, but also seeks to maintain and improve the reputation and relations of the ISD within the foundation and between other departments within the foundation.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
Incident Report - Jan Atore [12/20] {Rated Excellent}
Arrest Report - Sausage Rolls [12/18] {Rated Excellent}
Research Study - Distance Dropoff Effects of SCP-012 {Rated Excellent}
Research Study - Attractive Force Effects from Non-Perceived Exposure {Rated Excellent}
Incident Report - SCP-912 Malicious Interference with Testing {Rated Good}
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
The responsibilities of an Inspector are to assist in more-involved formal investigations within the foundation, conducting D-block infiltrations if required, aiding in routine/daily assignments of agents and operatives, assist with investigations of agents/operatives within the ISD department itself if required, aiding in the establishment of checkpoints when required, assisting with tribunals as required, supporting the ongoing training of new ISD staff, and overall serving as a source of knowledge and advice for the department.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
I believe that I would do well in the role based on my existing experience as an Investigator and Agent. I'm not a micromanager and try to let people have fun within reason, and do my best to ensure that arrests and charges are fair and just, and overall contribute positively to the roleplay environment for everyone as a whole. I enjoy interacting with others, and I think I'd do a good job leading by example for people within ISD, and helping to train and guide new ISD staff as they join the department.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Bazyli Kowalczyk is a 32 year old Polish immigrant, with a professional background in atomic physics & engineering from the Politechnika Warszawska (Warsaw University of Technology). Upon graduating university, Bazyli was recruited in to the SCP Foundation by [REDACTED] and was stationed initially at Foundation Facility Site 120 located in Częstochowa, Silesian Voivodeship; and provided occasional consolutation support for Site 54 located in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. Bazyli had initially been recuited in to the foundation to assist in further particle research on [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED] at Site 120, and on an as-needed basis for other european facilities, but often found himself being forced in to a technical maintnance role supporting facility reactors across the region, frequently sidetracking his research.
Following the desire of his wife to relocate closer to her family to support their end-of-life care, Bazyli relocated to Site 65 in Saskatchewan, Canada; where he resumed his research activities. However, life at Site 65 proved to have a stark contrast to his experiences at Site 120, as he found more frusterations and inturruptions dealing with some foundation staff than he did with the SCP's themselves. After several months of himself and his fellow researchers being delayed and set back by the antics of others, Bazyli decided to apply for a transfer to the Site 65 ISD department, in an effort to help them out to get the situation at the site under control.
Bazyli: You know, it turns out that investigating people isn't really that much different from investigating SCPs. Perhaps there's a paper or two to be written about that at some point...hold on, someone's calling...Hello?...Yes.....Yes...No.......A tech expert did WHAT?.....Okay, no, wait there, I'll be right there...
[Redacted]: Is everything okay?
Bazyli: Sorry, I've gotta run; someone's trying to feed SCP-939 Skittles again.
[Redacted]: Oh...uhh...what does that...do?
Bazyli: Well I can't really remember for some reason, but what I do know is that aparently I wrote the incident report about the last time it happened, and it got classified above my own pay-grade, so it's probably better for all of us if we don't rediscover what it does. Hold on, I gotta take this......Hey Red....Yeah...Yeah it's the Skittles guy...Yeah I'm already on my way...
