Warning : NLR/MetaGaming, revealed a CI disguised as me after they had killed me. CI hung around the barracks they had killed me in and I called in backup to deal with the "duplicate researcher" (Nov 8, 2025)
Warning : FailRP, participated in a firefight against CI instead of running away during a raid (Jan 22, 2026)
Why are you applying for Director of Research?:
I am applying for Director for several reasons. First, I am applying because I wish to positively influence the Research Department as effectively as possible, which I feel is the easiest to attain in a position as a Director of Research. Whether it be having a greater reach to help the members of RSD, or improving the research loop and maintaining an inviting atmosphere to the department. Second, I am applying as it feels like the next goal or step to take. I have been an Executive for quite a while now (accepted November 12th). I do not wish to stagnate, and want to continue to rise and grow in RSD. Finally, I am applying for the position because I wish to improve RSD collaborations and interactions with other departments, GOIs, etc. I would love to implement these ideas, and foster RSD into a more diverse and interactive department
What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
As a long term member of the RSD team, I am well ingrained and involved with the department and its many activities. I believe I am one with the people, who can easily communicate and interact with the members of RSD. I see myself as an abled individual who can not only communicate with others, but also learn from others and hear out their standpoints, needs, questions, and ideas. Effective communications and understanding with the people is absolutely an important factor for a department lead, especially with such a hands on and active department such as RSD
I am also well involved with creating and completing interesting RP/Research. In my work, I have discovered new effects of long classic SCPs. Such as my research into SCP-012 and its ability to extend its cognitio-hazard via HeadCam streams, effectively doubling is hazard range past its containment cell. I have earned commendations for my research, such as the Foundation Star (reasons redacted) and the Research Excellency Award (SCP-012 projects). An finally, I have created good relations with other GOIs for research. A primary example being the GOC, and the radio communications line I created with Site Administration to directly access their Group-344 research division.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
Directors of Research are to be the direct leadership of Research efforts. The primary role especially is the fostering of activity and engagement in the RSD field. Activities such as the interaction with other departments/GOIs for expanded research, creation of interesting research projects, or even Directors of Research personally involving themselves in the tests of lower clearance staff are all ways to grow and improve the enjoyment of RSD staffers.
Additionally, it is up to the Directors of Research to maintain the RSD Gameplay loop, keeping this fresh or engaging for the players to keep up the research efforts. Some policies, practices, and even SCPs can get stale with time. And it is the job of the Directors of Research to hear the outcries of the department
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Joesef Azere has had a long tenure with the RSD department. He has worked on many projects, discovered new abilities of older SCPs, and even earned commendations from Site-65 leadership. He has given up much to be where he is. He sacrificed his happy family and life back in Virginia for the mission of the Foundation. He even lost he legs over the job during an SCP-9000-A breach. Joesef has even (possibly) had his fair share in questionable tests and research, all of which is purely hypothetical and unable to be confirmed.
