Age: 20
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: CST
Character name(s): john 'gravy' mergen
Civilian name: yergen
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP=RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
None, haven't been interested in the combat whitelists.

Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
I have received FearRp warnings over a year ago now, I see them but I do not remember why I have them.

Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
1. I want to help during the later hours of the foundation. I am usually active late at night or early in the morning when no executives are available to sign documents. This often leaves Senior Researchers relying on the Ethics Committee, who are typically busy with other tasks, which can halt the Research Department entirely. If I were able to assist during these hours, more RP opportunities could occur with D-Class and Gensec, allowing them to engage in activities beyond being stuck in D-Block.
2. I frequently conduct tests involving CL3+ SCPs and would like the ability to sign off on them myself when trying out new experiments.
3. Writing documents is something I truly enjoy, and helping others improve their own documents and tests is a priority for me. I would also like to collaborate with other Executives about certain tests I plan to conduct in the future to gather their opinions and insights.
4. I haven't yet tested everything at Site-65 due to not having CL4 clearance. I would like the opportunity to see all the SCPs and conduct tests on those I have yet to explore.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I believe I would make a strong candidate for Executive Researcher due to my extensive experience and the time I have dedicated to the research department as an active member. I consistently assist others with their documents when asked, providing advice and guidance to help improve their work, and I would like to expand this support in a more official way. I'm also frequently active during late hours when others may not be available, allowing me to sign off on documents during late nights or early mornings to help keep the Research Department running smoothly.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I lost a lot when I switched computers recently, but I currently have 2, maybe 3, and I have more in the works that I'm getting going.
1. Format is very important, in my opinion. If you don't start with a good format and include a clear index of some sort, your document will be hard to navigate and unpleasant for the viewer or reader. This, in turn, will result in a sloppy document.
2.Grammar may seem like a small detail, but it is what elevates a good document into an excellent one.
3. Creativity goes a long way. If you copy other people's documents and fail to put in the time and effort to create your own test or document, others will begin to notice the lack of effort. That’s not to say you can’t look at others' work for inspiration, but copying word-for-word will reveal a lack of passion for the RP.
4. Purposeful tests are key. Any test or document should aim to benefit the foundation and advance the research department. Tests should not be conducted for personal gain.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:

1. Help other researchers with their documents and improve their writing skills, as well as answer questions about SCPs or anything else they may need.
2. Sign off on documents whenever senior researchers need their sampling documents signed or any other document that requires review.
3. Assist with tests if a researcher needs an executive present or if I simply want to tag along to observe the test.
4. Monitor the department to ensure that no one is violating ethics or researcher rules.
5. Approve credits.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
John "Gravy" Mergen was never one to shy away from the unknown. Growing up in the wilderness of Canada, he developed a deep fascination with the unexplained, spending years researching strange occurrences and documenting peculiar phenomena in the remote woods. It wasn’t long before John began encountering SCPs—mysterious entities and objects that defied all known logic. From eerie whispers in the trees to anomalous creatures that seemed to slip through the fabric of reality, his research quickly turned from hobby to obsession.

One quiet night, while poring over his notes in a small cabin in the woods, John was abruptly awakened by loud bangs on his door. Groggy and disoriented, he opened it to find several armed men standing guard, flanking a group of scientists in lab coats. Their eyes were intense, their presence commanding. They were curious about the research he had been conducting, and after a tense exchange, they revealed their true purpose.

The men worked for a secretive organization—one that dealt with anomalies far greater than anything John had encountered in his years of research. They offered him an irresistible deal: a hefty salary, access to even more bizarre and dangerous SCPs, and the opportunity to continue his studies under the eyes of the foundation in a [Redacted Location].

The lure of uncovering the truth behind these enigmatic entities, along with the promise of financial reward, was too much to resist. John agreed to their offer, eager to expand his knowledge and dive deeper into the world of SCPs, knowing that this would be the beginning of a new chapter in his life. With the foundation's resources at his disposal, he was about to become a profound researcher whose name would soon be known for uncovering some of the world's most dangerous and strange anomalies.

REGARDING: "John 'Gravy' Mergen Executive Researcher Application"

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for submitting your application for the position of Executive Researcher. After careful review and consideration, we regret to inform you that your application has been DENIED. Below are the reasons for this decision:

1. AI-Generated Content:
- Portions of your application, specifically the lore section, were flagged as predominantly AI-generated (85.57%). This raises concerns about the authenticity and effort involved in your submission.

2. Lack of Visibility:
- Research Leadership and department members have reported little to no interaction or familiarity with you, which is critical for a leadership position.

3. Insufficient Evidence of Contributions:
- While you claim to have authored excellent-graded documents, no evidence was provided to verify these contributions due to lack of preservation. This leaves your past work and contributions unverifiable.

We encourage you to engage more actively with the Research Department, contribute verifiable work, and resubmit your application once the outlined issues have been addressed. Thank you for your interest in furthering the Foundation’s research efforts.

You may Re-Apply Again in two weeks.
Sincerely,
Director "Grimoire"
