Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:183807020 Discord Name: The Divine Terror For how long have you played on CG SCP: I first started playing on the server around 11-12 months ago. Currently I have spent just over 61 days on the server. (Screenshot taken about 1 week ago.) Age: 16 In what country are you located? USA Character Name(s): John "Survivor" Maverick Civilian Name: Strauss What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA Do you have a mic? Yes List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that hold or have held: Holding: E-11 COM, DEA Sr. Agent Held: CI Beta, A-1 PVT, Gensec Captain Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why? No, I have been very careful as to follow all the server rules. What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?: I've been a part of the server for a rather long time now and I believe that I have a sound understanding of how Assistants work on the server. I've been a CL4 holder for a rather long time, so I understand the importance of leadership and professionalism. I'm also very active throughout the week. Normally I can get about 2-4 hours of Vtime on the server in 1 day if it's a weekday. During the weekends that time goes up exponentially. My longest time spent on the server in one day was as E-11 COM, where I was on for 11 hours and 31 minutes. I'm a good Role-player and I'm open to new forms of RP to give out or take in. I'd love to help schedule/create new RP events for players/site staff, to take part in. One of these factors is how I've been writing an overarching story for my character John. Excluding this application, John has over 6200 words worth of documented lore. I'm not afraid to write new storylines of lore as I have a good knack for it, and I find it to be rather fun. I'm also pretty good at making changes to or writing new documents in or out of the game. Give me a task and I'll get it back to you in a reasonable time even if it seems rather encumbering. Most importantly, I'm incredibly loyal. I'd say that one of the main reasons I stick around with E-11 is because I've was loyal to my superiors when they were still around. It's partly because of them that I stick around today. I don't want to feel like I've let them down by abandoning my units and not done enough for them. What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?: For starters, Overseer Assistants act as a channel between the O5 Council and other parties. An example of this would be an Assistant transferring information between the O5 Councill and other personnel such as Researchers. Assistants also execute and communicate the O5 Council's orders to other personnel when necessary. Assistants can also help enforce the Code of Conduct by conducting investigations or interviews to help snuff out illegal activity. Assistants can also authorize AA when needed. Lastly, Assistants are general informants for the O5 Council. They provide O5 members with site status updates, an account of daily events, or general tasks that are yet to be completed. Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in: |

Maverick blinks awake and yawns. He's lived to fight another day. The containment breaches have been getting worse, and the SCPs are getting smarter. Maverick sits up and feels a sharp pain in his leg. A relic of a time long past, a reminder of why he joined The Nine Tailed Fox. Maverick still had a job to do so he popped a painkiller and got up. Taking in his surroundings Maverick saw that the someone was calling him. He got up an answered. "Yeah? What is it?" "Morning sir. Hate to call so soon but this is important." "Well spit it out then." "We've got three new SCPs today. One of them is staying up in LCZ's Inanimate Object Storage. The other two, well, they're gonna be down here. From what I hear we have SCP-082 in Non-spec and SCP-8837. That last one's pretty new and it has its own chamber. Word has it that its containment is narrative based so testing's going to be strict with that one. Lucky us, right?" Maverick looked over to the Calander. Sure enough, today was labeled as the day new SCPs arrived onsite. "Alright Sarge. Thanks for reminding me. I'll catch you downstairs. Ready the troops for me." Maverick hangs up, puts his gear on, and heads out. Downstairs Maverick leads his troops into SCP-8837's containment chamber. They head into the control room to overlook the interior chamber. Maverick's troops huddle around the window and talk about what could be held inside. Maverick reads the SCP file on the room's corkboard. That document describes SCP-8837's deceptive narrative in full length. That the chamber is built to trick the entity into thinking it is partaking in a NASA moon mission to build sustainable plant habitat and to collect moon dust. When Maverick is done reading, he pins the file back to the board. "Listen up men." The room quiets. "This is SCP-8837's containment chamber. As you've assumed this SCP operates off a deceptive narrative for containment. SCP-8837 believes it is partaking in a NASA moon mission. It is your duty to ensure this narrative is not questioned or challenged by any foundation personnel while you are inside the chamber. Now, we have the date on this narrative set to the time that the USSR was still kicking. If someone tries to question the authenticity of the chamber you have full authorization to terminate that person. Call 'em a commie spy, say your gun was made for killing commies in space by NASA, and get everyone out quickly. Is that understood?" Maverick's men reply with a booming "Yes sir!" With that they moved onward to check on the other new SCPs that site had received. Later that day . . . Maverick was stood at the main checkpoint into HCZ. Awaiting research parties who needed access to HCZ. Soon, a researcher came in. They wanted to test on SCP-8837. To be the first to ask it questions and publish their paper. Maverick quickly got through with the checkpoint formalities and headed with them to the chamber. He figured he could set a standard for his men, so he'd be accompanying the first test. Outside of the airlock Maverick briefed the research party on the narrative, warned them not to challenge it, and lead them in. All was going well until the researcher slipped up, "So, how would you say your time up here has been SCP-8837." Maverick looked over towards SCP-8837 who had cocked his head at the question. "What do you mean SCP-8837?" Maverick looked back towards the researcher and then back towards SCP-8837. He didn't think he'd need to do this so soon but sometimes sacrifices must be made. John pulled out his M9 and shot the researcher once. The bullet went straight to the head. SCP-8837 jumped and looked over to Maverick. "What was that for?" "I hate to say it but that was a communist spy. Recently, the USSR has been referring to their space program as SCP S.C.P. stands for Soviet. Cosmonaut. Program. The 8837 part refers to the employee number. For some reason. Anyway, this handy gun here was invented to kill soviets in space. I'll get one to you sometime but for now I need to take this commies body, and my buddies, back to our ship. We need to report this to Houston and we're about out of time anyway. Catch you later man." SCP-8837 stood staring as Maverick left the chamber with the researcher's body in tow. As soon as he was outside of the airlock, he threw his spacesuit off and called the site mortuary. Maverick let out a growl and yelled. "Great! Just great! First day in and some guy's dead because he almost let out the truth! I am definitely keeping this thing guarded at all times. Who knows what would happen if someone exposed him to the truth." A voice chimed in, "Actually we do, or we have a general idea. First off, SCP-8837 would breach containment. As it would stop believing in the narrative and just break right through that door. Second, gravity as we know it would likely cease to exist. In other words, you've single handedly saved the world. Well done." Maverick turned, a man he hadn't see before was standing before him. "Yes, I do suppose that makes you a hero John. Nice work making those fail safes too, worked like a charm. Anyway, I have a deal for you." "What is it?" "Well, after your actions today, the documents you've written before, and your general work for the safety of Site-65; I'd say now would be a good time to "promote" you. In a manner of speaking." John was stunned but finally came to an answer, "I couldn't bear to leave my fellow soldiers, yet I'm intrigued by your words." The O5 nodded, "Good to hear. Your concerns can be worked around. We'd like to welcome you to our array of assistants. You'll essentially be acting as a sort of informant for us. As well as doing some paperwork here and there. You can do it whenever you're off duty or longing for a break." John pondered the proposition for a moment before finding his answer. "I accept." |
