Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?:
I’ve received one warning for RDM., I was playing GENSEC and thought a D-Class had a grenade (He did not..)
Why are you applying for the Director of Research position?
I’m applying for the Director of Research position because I want to continue doing what I’ve always set out to do: provide meaningful, quality roleplay to the site.
By stepping into this role, I hope to continue this journey and expand the impact I’ve already made. I’ve consistently focused on supporting others, whether that’s creating lore for Junior Researchers, helping others develop new ideas, or assisting with executive tests. I’ve been fortunate to learn from strong leaders such as Ryan, Desmond, Gimmy, Gordon, and Max, all of whom helped shape me into the researcher I am today. I feel it’s only right to give back to the site that has given me so much.
I also want to build on the foundation laid by those before me. Ryan and Desmond have left the department in an excellent place, making testing smoother and more accessible for everyone. I hope to continue the work they began and push the department even further.
What makes you suitable for the Director of Research?:
I believe I’m suitable for the Director of Research position because my connection to this department goes far beyond needed, it’s personal. I’ve grown up here. I’ve failed here. I’ve learned here. And I’ve fought for this place.
My love for research isn’t just about enjoying tests or writing lore. It’s about believing in what this department can be. During the GSD change, when Research’s Core Gameplay was at risk, I pushed back, spoke up, and fought to protect the department. I wasn’t doing it for a title, I was doing it because I genuinely care about the people who rely on this space to create, to roleplay, and to belong.
I’ve stood up for people countless times, whether they were new researchers who needed someone in their corner or experienced researchers who just needed someone to listen. I’ve always tried to be the person who steps in when things get tough, not because I have to, but because I care.
My growth is another reason I feel ready. I started rough but I put in the work to become someone others can trust. Someone who can lead by example. Someone who can make the department better than it was yesterday.
I’m not applying because I want authority. I’m applying because I want to continue supporting the people who make this department worth fighting for. I want to help shape its future, protect its culture, and ensure that every researcher feels valued and special.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research is responsible for leading the entire Research Department and making sure everything runs smoothly. They manage the department, represent it in meetings with Site Administration, Site Command, and work with the Executive Research Team to make informed decisions. They check and approve research tests, make sure all rules and safety protocols are followed, and help solve problems that other researchers can’t handle on their own.
They also mentor new and experienced researchers, give out projects , and help people grow into leadership roles. The Director keeps communication open between Research and other departments and listens to feedback from researchers to improve the department. Overall, the Director of Research leads by example, supports their team, and helps the department fill gaps where others cant.
