What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
- I believe I am the best candidate for ECA because of my roleplay skills, professionalism, and dedication. Since I started playing the server, I have always focused on the roleplay side of the story. The first department I ever put any effort in was the Research Department, and that effort eventually led me to the position I currently hold, Senior Executive Researcher. I have always been interested in research because I enjoyed creating interesting RP for others, as well as helping newer people get acclimated to the server. On the side of professional and leadership, I believe my time as Executive Researcher has helped me a lot on that front. It has allowed me the opportunity to experience my first CL4 position on the server and to have people come to me for any help they need or questions they want answered. I believe I have been a good role model and have helped a lot within the Research Department, inspiring other researchers to put even more effort in the work that they enjoy and to strive for higher things.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
‘Kroof’ Albarn had been with the SCP foundation for as long as he could remember, witnessing both groundbreaking scientific achievements and unspeakable atrocities. He was transferred to Site-65 as a Senior Research after previously studying minor anomalies at another facility. Upon his transfer, he began studying on SCP-049, the “Plague Doctor,” which led to several major breakthroughs and earned him a promotion to Executive Researcher.
Although ecstatic about the advancement and fulfilled by his research, he always had this strange feeling inside of him. His love for studying anomalies remained strong, but his attention began shifting towards humanity itself. Having primarily focused on the psychology side of research, he started to notice patterns in how people thought, reacted, and suffered under the Foundation’s command.
He saw D-Class personnel sent to die without a second thought. He saw MTF and GENSEC units handed kill-orders without hesitation. He saw fellow researchers cross lines not in the name of research, but simply out of their amusement.
That is when it finally clicked for him. He no longer wished to simply study these anomalies, he wanted to protect those forced to live and work beside them. He vowed to ensure those incidents never happened again, and wanted to be that change the Foundation needed.
