ISD Investigator, GSD Sergeant, Nu-7 Operative
No, I have not received any kicks, bans, or warnings.
Why are you applying for an Internal Security Inspector?
I am applying for Internal Security Inspector because I want to take on a greater responsibility in ISD, and to strengthen the ISD department through leadership and consistency. To me, the inspectors must make good judgment calls and be reliable because they are the first people lower-ranking ISD will come to for help.
My time in ISD has shown me the importance of the department and how we are the first line of defense for the law. This had further made me more interested in taking a bigger part in ISD and getting the chance to lead it as an inspector.
What makes me suitable for an internal security inspector is that I have already spent time in other positions where I had to act calmly and also decisively. As in Inspector, I have to not only ensure that I am handling cases properly, but also that the investigator and agents/operatives are, which means they are getting proper evidence, are questioning if necessary, and are jailing them for the appropriate amount of time.
I also believe I am suitable because I will carefully read all the rules that can relate to the crime a person committed to see if they broke it, and to determine which other rules might relate. As an Inspector, I should be able to be trusted to handle situations where the rules/decisions come down to the wire. Situations like this can be handled by looking at the evidence carefully and the rule.
An Ideal internal Security Inspector is someone consistent, fair in their judgment, and, most importantly, can pass their knowledge down to newer ISD. They should be able to manage the department without letting ego or emotion cloud their judgment. They must understand that their job is not just to bark orders, but to lead the department by example.
The ideal Internal Security Inspector should also communicate clearly over communications, and also through their documents. If people cannot understand what they are trying to communicate, then they can't lead the department.
I have written 3-5 major role-playing documents, with one being excellent and the rest being great.
The quality that makes these documents good is that they are very detailed and explain the entirety of the situation clearly and concisely. I design them so that if a person who knew nothing about the situation read it, they would be able to grasp the full story.
The responsibilities of an Internal Security Inspector in RP are to help supervise ISD, guide the department below them, lead investigations and operations, and make sure the standards of the department are being upheld. They must also make sure that people inside of ISD aren't breaking rules, like meta-gaming, and arresting without evidence or being a first-hand witness.
I believe I would be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security because I can handle the responsibilities that come with being an Internal Security Inspector. I handle leadership more like a responsibility rather than a privilege. Poor leadership can lead to bad investigations and incorrect arrests, causing unease in the foundation.
My approach as a leader is to teach the people under me when they make a mistake, rather than to get mad at them or give them a harsh punishment, in order to make sure that they learn from the experience and still have a good time. Now, if the situation is bad or happens multiple times, then the punishment would be harsher.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Lucian Vale is a man who never takes off his mask. Whenever asked about it, he will come up with a new and different story about the mask's origin or how it got on his face; all the stories have the same common theme of it now being stuck on his face and being unremovable.
We know he was born in a small town south of Nevada, and was recruited by the foundation in ####; however, other than that, not much else is known about him.
