For how long have you played on CG SCP: 1.5-2 years now probably
Age: 16
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Michael Anderson [TRT-I] (Foundation), Yikes Mcgee (CI)
Civilian name: Nicholas 'Chef' Hernandez
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
-Investigator, E-11 specialist, CI-B, ISD agent/operative, DEA agent/operative (not sure if these 2 count as WL'ed)
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
-Don't believe I've received any formal warnings, kicks, or bans. I got pulled into a sit once for naming my civ mayor Donal Trup but I didn't receive a warning. If I have received a warning I was never notified of it.
Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
- I love the ISD gameplay and wish to expand my role in the department. When I first joined the server one of the first things I did was grind the requirements for ISD agent. I've been in the department for definitely over a year and most of my play time on server has been on ISD. Its definitely my favorite department by far and I want an opportunity to hopefully provide site staff an example of an unbiased and fair arbiter of the CoE, CoC, and FLC as I hope I've been doing as an investigator.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
- I believe I am suitable for ISD Inspector because of my extensive experience in the ISD department which has required me to extensively study the CoE, CoC, and the FLC. I am a very active member of the department and I hope anyone viewing this would recognize me as a relatively familiar face onsite. I have a fair bit of experience dealing with more complex situations like info breaches and on several occasions, I have had to take a leadership role in serious situations when Inspector+ have not been onsite. I don't think I've ever had a compliant lodged against me by a member of site staff in relation to an arrest nor have I had an arrest I prosecuted expunged. I have been involved in several ISD operations, off the top of my head recently I lead a seminar as part of Project "Orange Microphone". I have also been a part of numerous checkpoints, contraband turn in stations, etc. I think that I set a positive example by usually taking the most charitable view of a given situation even when the site staff involved is a known troublemaker.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
- I think the ideal ISD Inspector is someone who is willing to take an objective view of any situation given to them. Someone who is committed to deescalation as a principle and makes sure ALL foundation staff (especially non-D class) make it out of a potentially violent situation alive and ideally unharmed. An inspector should be impartial and level-headed at all times and should not let previous grievances get in the way of the serving of proper unbiased justice in line with the FLC. An ideal Inspector should not be quick to pull rank or boss around lower ranks unless necessary maintaining order on site. A more personal addition I would make is that an Inspector or any ISD personnel for that matter should be able to be friendly and casual with site staff (without dereliction to one's duties of course).
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
- I don't know if I've wrote any documents that would be considered major. I've submitted multiple arrest/incident reports as well as numerous studies as part of the Research Department. I think a good quality document is professional and detail filled while maintaining proper grammar, punctuation, appropriate vocabulary, etc. A good document should be able to be understood easily by anyone who you intend/allow to view it as well as being an additive to roleplay/lore not just a means of climbing the ranks or getting permission for a given test you want to do.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
- Administering exams to new members of ISD/prospect Investigators, handling breaches of protocol, conduct, or law by junior CL4 staff, adhering at all times to the CoE, CoC, and the FLC, being a guide for more junior members of the ISD department, doing operations/investigations, making sure junior ISD staff adhere to department policies as well as the CoE, CoC, and FLC, maintaining secrecy of classified materials, SCPs, staff, etc, administering the exams required for a weapons permit, and being available for questions by junior members of the ISD department.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
- As I've said earlier I had experience leading agents/operatives in the absence of Inspector+. I think I am an impartial judge and generally reflect well on ISD as a department. I'm very committed to ISD and I think I get along quite well with most site staff. I have extensively read over and gathered even more on site in relation to documents relevant to ISD (FLC, CoE, CoC, and the Classified Info Guide). I am sure in my abilities to fulfill the duties of an ISD Inspector and be a role model for both members of ISD and site staff in general.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Michael Anderson started out his career as an analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation before being transferred to the FBI's UIU (Unusual Incidents Unit). He would later be given training relatively on par with police training in the US and become a UIU Field Operative. UIU command had ordered an investigation into a series of bank robberies which were completed with anomalous perfection, the thief would seemingly stroll into the bank, walk up to the vault then gain entry through unknown means. All security cameras would be deactivated simultaneously leaving no digital trace of the robbery. By the time the FBI had informed and involved the UIU over 20 million dollars had been stolen by this single thief. Over time evidence was collected and the UIU connected the unknown robber to a network of accomplices notably [REDACTED] who is known to the foundation as senior member of the Serpent's Hand, an organization bent on liberating anomalies from containment, classified by the Foundation as a cult and terrorist organization. On March 22nd 2021, UIU agents would conduct a bust against an anomalous arms deal between the Serpent's Hand (unknown to the UIU) and [REDACTED], arresting several Serpent's operatives and confiscating several anomalous objects. In retaliation, nearly a month later on April 17th 2021, a strike team which included a humanoid reality bender belonging to the Serpent's Hand would storm an FBI field office in use by the UIU. This field office would also happen to be where Michael Anderson was stationed. After detecting a unusual seismic disruption (later to found to be caused by the reality bender), MTF Pi-1 'City Slickers' would be deployed to determine the source of the event and would discover the FBI field office partially destroyed with staggered fighting ongoing inside. Pi-1 operatives would sweep the building, neutralizing all remaining Serpent's Hand operatives and capturing their reality bender (later to be known as Type Green-A). All surviving UIU staff would be airlifted to a nearby Foundation Armed Outpost where they would be treated and later anesthetized. Michael was among those surviving UIU staff having sustained a near fatal injury caused by Type Green-A's reality bending. With the wound being considered somewhat anomalous in nature and unexplainable by non-anomalous science, Anderson was kept at the outpost to be observed for potential anomalous qualities stemming from the incident and to be provided with more advanced medical care. He would during this stay be recruited by the Foundation's General Security Department later becoming a guard after being deemed safe for release and non-anomalous. From here Guard Anderson would rise to the rank of Security Response Unit before being recruited as an ISD operative and climbing the ranks of ISD. Inspector Anderson contains to hold a grudge against reality benders.
