Why are you applying for Security Captain?
- I am applying for the rank of Security Captain because I have begun to take an investment and heavy interest in GENSEC and would like to use my ability to improve upon and better those I am currently serving with, those above, and assist those below. I would like to earn the responsibility of captain to ensure the efficiency of D-block while following the code of ethics while keeping leniency to prevent or reduce turnover rates of GENSEC due to the lack of any ability to grow without fear of being kicked off or reprimanded for something minor. I would like to use my excess time to show my capabilities not only as a person but as a person in command that can reduce the strain on those I would be joining, maintain morale of the department, and ensure smooth operations. I am active upon the community and have been around for a while to understand the works of departments, server rules, and how procedures should be run.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
- I've had experience in a CL4 position before along with experience in running an organized team that specialized in strike teams and protection units. I have good leadership skills along with the ability to make quick decisions in high tense situations, have run multiple sweeps of D-block that have been successful even when short staffed. Experience at running licenses, tryouts, and trainings along with enforcing policies and procedures. Open mindedness for change, new operations, and ability to accept responsibility when something goes wrong with ability to improve upon those faults and change for the better. Experience in dealing with individuals that need to be reprimanded and assisting those that require growth both inside and outside of my fields of work.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?: Responsibilities of Security Captain include but not limited to:
- Carry out and relay orders given from Security Chiefs
- Discipline of fellow GENSEC should procedure(s) be broken
- Ensuring security procedures are following code of ethics
- Overviewing and enforcing security operations
- Training GENSEC whether that be through licenses, trainings, tryouts, kill houses, or lectures.
- Securing D-block in the event of GOIs enter, an SCP breaches, or a riot breaks out
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Mortarion 'Resilient' had grew up in an isolated town in the heart of North Dakota and born into semi-strict military family. Throughout his life he had stuck to books and keeping to himself all while keeping his nose clean from alcohol, drugs, parties, the typical teenager things. His family has pushed and encouraged him to sign up into the military when he was of age, a decision he would choose to follow and flourish in. His choice of branch would be Air Force and after being given his option of career he would join up with the MP division. After vigorous training in basic and completing his tech school he would be stationed in Souix Falls, SD through his first 3 years in and would start at the rank of an E3. He was commended for his ability to withstand extreme climates and endure in the few dangerous situations that would arise from intruders attempting to infiltrate his stationed base in which would normally get him critically injured or KIA'd. The foundation would reward a place upon GENSEC after Mortarion would assist in fending off a CI attack on his base to obtain recon intel to use against the foundation. DEA would contact Mortarion after him and his team would be pushed back into a kill hall and resisting waves upon gunfire and (reported) magically sightings of manifested conventional weaponry. He would be offered the rank of Security Sergeant but be asked to sacrifice a lot of his personal freedoms in exchange for a special position in an organization meant to protect humanity so he could die in the dark while they live in the light. This was his calling and shortly after a discussion with his team he would take this offer to leave behind his work to have an opportunity for something greater in a place he could have more management and truly do something with himself in a way that was bigger than he was. So here he remains at Site-65, maintaining his teams to the most possible efficiency and protecting the foundation with his life happy as can be with the hopes to rise higher in the ranks to show what he is really capable of.
