What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
- There are 3 main reasons for why I want to join the Ethics Committee as a member. The main goal is to explore RP-heavy interactions with the site as well as find new and neglected topics and RP to explore and bring to light. On the same note, I always found it hard to participate with the site’s RP interactions while in lower-level jobs and roles. Even as an ISD Inspector, a lot of high-level RP is hidden behind closed doors. As an ECM, I will make high-level RP more accessible and transparent to other departments and lower-level roles, aiding in the health of the server.
In all roles I play, I always ensure to be seen and well known within the site, making my department more approachable and helpful to the average member of Site 65. With this in mind, I would like to do the same as an ECM. I won’t be walking around with 6 Omega-1 with safeties off and threatening everyone; instead, I will go for the kind and approachable politician vibe. While I will enforce the Chain of Command, I genuinely enjoy answering questions from all staff and signing any documents within my authority when they align with ethical standards. Lastly, I think it will be a fun change of pace for my RP interactions on the server. It would be a nice change to be able to address issues and RP without having to go through flaming hoops.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
-The thing that makes me the best fit for ECM is my understanding of what people want their Command members to be. I will be the face that people want to see when they have questions of any kind in the server. No matter its importance, I will be someone you can call down on a moment’s notice to help with issues that may arise, be it CoE questions or complaints, or as crazy as D-Class being hung by other D-Class in D-Block, there is never something beneath me.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
-To aid and assist with any Ethical debates or issues.
-To direct Omega-1 to enforce the will of the Ethics Committee.
-To make RP for the Server as well as raise up good RP made by the community and its members.
-To Sign off on Documents for Research and Medical when asked.
-To approve AA use during breaches.
-To call code blacks for the safety of Site 65 staff.
-To keep the SCP Foundation as humanin as possible.
-To keep the 05 Council from going to far.
-To set up and run high level tribunals.
-To vote on the next DoISD.
-To Work with SA and 05 Council to keep the rule of law on the Site.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
-To vote on the next DoISD.
-To handle high level demotions when necessary for the health of the Server.
-To have a voice in the ECC ruling and Decision making.
-To answer questions for server members.
