Discord name: Rockriley333
For how long have you played on CG SCP: my current Vtime is 2D 36H, although I have been playing this server for 2 years or more
Age: 19
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: PST
Character name(s): Riley 'Rockin' Newman
Civilian name: Ace Dwane
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- Held - NU-7 LCPL, E-11 LCPL, B-1 LT, CI-A, UNGOC 1SGT, DEA Sr Agent, Holding - Security Captain
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I have but they are all expired and extremely old and I don't remember any of them
What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
-
1. I am not afraid to speak the truth or make statements that may upset another person. When I strive to make something better for everyone, I will speak my mind and speak only on facts when I argue something that does not allow others to enjoy a something or allow them to do their tasks
2. I will check in with other divisions and make sure that everyone is getting what they need and being treated in a way of respect. I will make sure that a division is being well run and that the personnel running said division are not just making it ideal for only themselves but making the division what it needs to be for everyone to operate well within it and still enjoy playing in that division. If not, I will report my findings back to the proper personnel within SA and SC to take care of the situation.
3. I do feel that I have a good amount of experience with LV4 positions, and even though I state this, I am still always willing to learn and adapt to each position that is done differently, as I currently don't have any experience with an LV4 non-combative position, as my past LV4 positions were B1 LT and what I am currently holding, Gensec Captain.
4. I will show everyone respect. I treat everyone with respect when I first meet them; the only time this will only be very different is when someone talks over me or majorly disrespects me. I only yell when necessary, and I will always handle any situation given to me as an assistant as professionally as possible.
5. I will always see to both sides of a conflict. I will never leave any stone unturned when looking into a situation; I have learned in the past that even when there is evidence showing that one did something wrong, they always don't show full context within a situation. Everyone should be allowed to defend themselves in a situation in a professional manner; the only time I don't believe this is if someone is disrespecting others while attempting to defend oneself.
Final Statement: I do believe that I won't only assist just the overseer council to a great degree but also Site-65 as a whole. I have worked at site-65 for a great deal of time, and I have seen the site at its worst and at its best, and I do believe that with this position I could again assist the site in being its best. I do wish to assist the council the best I can, I will do everything that is asked of me and more, I wont only just assist the council I work under but I will assist the site that I am assigned to.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?:
- 1. Overseer assistants have some responsibility in reinforcing the code of conduct, helping ISD and A-1 enforce these rules. The Overseer assistant does have some responsibility in making sure that foundation staff are following the code of conduct at all times within the facility; this includes A-1 and ISD. If we see these divisions break the code of conduct, we would report it to ISD L4 personnel, and for A-1 we would report it to the regcom or the overseer council.
2. Checking on departments, as an assistant, I will always be checking in on the status of other departments, asking lower personnel and higher personnel how they feel about how their departments are being run by their command. Doing this, we would also check on the relations with each department to make sure that everyone in the foundation is best working together.
3. Assistants authorize things like Advanced armory during a extremely bad SCP containment breach (code-5) and authorizing D-class work permits.
Final Statement: The role of Overseer assistant requires a lot of patients and adaptability as we are meant to assist the overseer council and our tasks can be changed through the council at any given time as a assist we have to have the confidence and the ability to speak truth and facts within the foundation to many people sometimes entire divisions hosting lectures about topics that the council hands down to us through the information we shared to them. this concludes my answer to this question
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Context before I give my character lore: I would like to make a new character for the assistant role as all of my main foundation character lore is all combat based as I have only done things like MTF and GSD for most of my time on site. Assistant character name: Mathew "Rock" Sigils
Character Lore: Mathew "Rock" Sigils began as a defected member of the UNGOC diplomatic division. As he was removed from the UNGOC for gaining information that he should not have been holding, the UNGOC attempted to remove his knowledge of their existence but fled to the foundation in a desperate attempt to escape. The foundation held him in a cell for a few days, attempting to figure out what to do with him. "Rock" found that he could make an agreement with the foundation; in return, he shared the knowledge of all he knew from the UNGOC; in return, all he wanted was to become a junior researcher. The foundation agreed but still kept a close eye on him as they were not sure if he could be trusted. After a few months he proved his worth to the foundation. After countless hours of work, the eyes were not watching him as closely, and this "rock" was promoted to researcher. After some time he was finally promoted to sr. researcher, where he devoted his time to assisting EX researchers in their research and document work. And now I, Mathew J. Sigils, am applying to become an overseer assistant.
I do apologize for any spelling errors or grammar mistakes. I ran this through many grammar checkers and spelling checkers, but it does not fix everything. I do suffer from dyslexia, and I hope that does not impact my application too much, as on documents I do the same and run it through grammar and spelling checkers before I submit anything.
