Discord name: Lumin#7818

For how long have you played on CG SCP: I started playing on the server around two months ago, and I've logged in 1 week, 1 day and 48 minutes of time according to the vtime_menu as of writing this.

Age: I am 20 years old (soon to be 21, though)

In what country are you located?: The U.S.A.

Time zone: Eastern Standard Time

Character name(s): A.R.A. (Short for Automated Research Assistant)

Civilian name: A.R.A. (Being a robot, A.R.A. has never actually experienced civilian life before)

What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA

Do you have a mic?: Yes, I do (I even use a voice changer for A.R.A.)

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: I have never held a whitelisted role before on this server, so this will be my first whitelisted role.

Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have only received one job ban, that being from Research given by Ethics Member Mr. Z for 69 minutes because I escaped to the surface during / after a Code Black when a nuke wasn't going off. Besides this, though, I've never actually received any official kicks, warnings, or bans by any administrative staff to my knowledge.

Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?: I feel that I've been taking things a lot more seriously recently with my time on the server. I've been able to partake in plenty of bombastic experiments and scenarios during my time here. The main reasons I want to be an Executive Researcher are so I can have the ability to learn about most, if not all SCPs on site, conduct large experiments with them, and craft theories with other Executive Researchers+ over current and new SCPs acquired in Foundation custody.

I'd be able to have a bit more control over some of the anomalous occurrences (I.E. events), which really peaks my interest. All of the events tend to fascinate me a lot, they add a lot of spice to the overall experience. Being able to study these events even more with Level 4 clearance would definitely make me feel like even more of a part of Site 56, and I definitely think that I have the ability to bring something nice to the table with this position.
I also really enjoy reading / writing as well, so grading documents and helping other researchers out with making documents would be fun to me. Approving and overseeing fun cross test ideas sounds like it would be pretty neat, especially if I'd be able to throw my own two cents in.
It would be fun to have the ability to mentor other researchers and help them get their bearings straight, similarly to the way many of my current higher ups have been able to help me out. I want to be a good representative of what the research department of Site-56 is capable of.

What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?: I've been taking things quite a bit more seriously in the Research branch, especially with having acquired the role of Sr. Research. Being elected to join the Icarus-4 Research Division, I feel like I've gotten myself very familiarized with most of the Execs / Directors on the site, and I do have a genuine drive to conduct all kinds of cool experiments with my colleagues. I can be pretty easy-going and silly, but when I want to be serious, I'm committed and dedicated to doing the absolute best that I can. If I didn't feel this way, I wouldn't be writing this right now. I definitely think I have the maturity to hold this kind of position, while having a lenient and approachable enough personality to make others feel comfortable.

How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?: As far as I'm aware of, almost every document that I've been able to upload to SCRIPNET has received an Excellent grading. I usually spend upwards of forty minutes writing my documents now. I have counted 9 Excellent documents of mine uploaded to SCRIPNET, out of the 10 documents total that I have uploaded.
As for what makes an excellent document, to me at least, it's broken down into a few different things. I believe the most important thing is formatting. Having it all easily digestible is incredibly important to me, and I'm always experimenting with trying to find new ways to improve on my writing. My formatting usually goes like this:

Cover Page: Here, I place a header and give the title of the test I've conducted, followed by one or two pictures of reference.
Index: This is pretty self explanatory. This is your little wayward compass that helps you navigate throughout the document, and shows you what information is on what page(s).
The SCP(s): Here, I write general information about the SCPs that I will be conducting experiments on.
The Goal: I explain what exactly the goal of my experiment is, what I wish to get out of it, and what I feel I will accomplish with this test.
The Methodology: What step by step methods I'm going to employ in order to make sure that the experiment goes as smoothly as possible, with the best results I can get.
The Hypothesis: What I personally feel the outcome of the test will be, usually aligning with my initial goal.
The Participants: Those that were involved in the testing process, whether it be security personnel that escort, d-class that were test subjects, or execs+ that have authorized / overseen the test. I make sure to give due credit here.
The Results: These are the end results of the experiment(s) I have conducted.
The Conclusion: My final thoughts on the results of the tests, whether they aligned with my initial goal / hypothesis, and whether I feel further testing should be advised.

What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?: An Executive Researcher takes on quite a few responsibilities.

  1. You are one of the representatives of all research personnel. You and your Directors are the face of the research department and its best interests here at Site-56. It is important to keep this in mind whenever you are on site, as others will look up at you and rely on your judgment.
  2. You are expected to be a mentor for all research personnel below your clearance, giving advice whenever possible, grading documents, shadowing on tests, and pointing newcomers in the right direction.
  3. You are expected to enforce both the Code of Conduct and the Code of Ethics inside of the research department. If you see a researcher doing something they are not supposed to, you are directly responsible for apprehending them and showing them the correct way of doing something. Worst case scenario, you have the authority to job ban someone or turn them over to IA.
  4. You are a trusted and valued member of the Foundation, being Clearance Level 4. You have been entrusted with the power of holding authority over your fellow Researchers, and you are seen as worthy of being aware of highly sensitive knowledge. You are to be aware of this, and do your best to make sure that any need to know information involving any of the anomalies contained on site or practices conducted on site stay that way.

Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in: A.R.A. is an eager robot that believes himself to have been created by the SCP Foundation's Research Department at Site-56 in order to help conduct experiments and relay any information involving the results of these experiments with his superiors. However, whenever asked about his age or his origins, he's never able to give a specific answer because he doesn't exactly know when he was created.
All he knows is that he's pretty good at his job, and that he's been seen as a useful enough asset to the Research Department to be the first person accepted into Icarus-4, the Extra Dimensional Anomalies Division headed by Executive Researcher Kings.
He's also worked pretty closely with many various colleges throughout his time in the facility, with the most ambitious (and recent) project being known as "Operation Hidden City", where he and Sr. Researcher Stee Ven has formed a collaboration in order to expand upon a colonization effort into SCP-860-1.
Things have been going pretty great for A.R.A. throughout his time at Site-56 with all of the helpful people around the facility he's gotten to know. He wouldn't be able to list all of them off the top of his head, but deep down, he does genuinely appreciate those that he's gotten close to ever since he's climbed through the ranks to hold the position of Senior Researcher.

What A.R.A. isn't aware of, though, is that he wasn't created by the Foundation at all. Rather, he was a product that was created by Anderson Robotics that had been uncovered by The Foundation during a raid on an Anderson Robotics Factory. Intel had reported that they were creating anomalous machinery designed to gather sensitive information about various GoIs, including the Foundation. This is how they stumbled upon what would eventually become A.R.A.
Once the raid had concluded and all of the salvaged machinery had been successfully captured by MTF Operatives, the robot that would become A.R.A. was handed over to the Researchers of Site-56 in a state of disrepair. Here, he was designated as SCP-████, Object Class: Safe.

Once the Foundation had been able to successfully rewire SCP-████ after learning just how useful of an asset he could prove to be to them, they changed his object class to "Thaumiel". He was then rebranded as "A.R.A.", with the memory of the life he had lived before at Anderson Robotics being completely wiped from his memory banks. Most of A.R.A.'s colleagues, even most of the ones with higher up positions, aren't aware of his actual origins. They believe the same lie that he has been told by the Foundation.
Now, as an Executive Researcher, A.R.A. will still be left in the dark about his true origins, but will be trusted greatly with overseeing many of the experiments that will be conducted in the facility, and would treat his responsibilities with great respect. His role inside Icarus-4 will also be amplified, now being able to contribute much more to this department.
A.R.A. has daydreamed about becoming an Executive Researcher for awhile now, always curious to know what they know. That's just how he is, always wanting to know more and really get into the details of it all.

That's what he was created for, after all.

...That's how they all got caught.

(With all that said, thank you for taking the time to read through this and take my application into consideration!)

It's been a good while since I've seen a Senior so dedicated to their character. It may just be the lore junkie in me, but I can identify a lot with what A.R.A. is putting down in this application.

These answers are fantastic, the dedication is inspiring and I love the art that was included. One of the rare cases of PAC enhancing the roleplay of a character, similar to our Ethics Director.

I'd love to see this Research Assistant at the Executive level to see how they perform.
