Why are you applying for Medical Consultant? I believe the Medical Department is the most overlooked department on the server. With GESEC being the one most people are pulled towards, and Research being primarily focused for anyone on here for heavy RP that leaves Medical in a grey spot. However, to me medical has been enjoyable, comparable to my time in other noncombative positions. I believe that the medical sector is something that I will find great enjoyment in being a part of, simple as that.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?: Right off the bat, I have experience in almost everything on the server short of Medical and Research. I have climbed the GENSEC and MTF ladder, getting to Captain and Commander, marking off my combative experience. On the non-combative side, I have served as both Assistant for Ethics and Overseer. I also reached Site Manager, which led to me creating some roleplay with the Medical Department and other groups on the server. Outside of experience, I am very active, averaging 4-5 hours a day. And I make it a priority to inform people when I'm not available in order to avoid issues. I try to be very communicative with the people around me, trying to create RP in every scenario.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice: Electroconclusive Therapy is the process of curing a person from gameplay difficulties. This includes cognitohazards, loss of ID, or, on the opposite side of the spectrum, getting people out of disguises.
Step 1: Confirm the subject needs ECT, or if the subject is non verbal ask the people who have been around the patient.
Step 2: Escort the subject to the ECT machine in the sickbay.
Step 3: Ask the patient for consent, on with orders from MTF suspicious of disguised personnel.
Step 4: Tell the patient to sit in the ECT machine and no "reach towards the light".
Step 5: Begin charging the machine and start the procedure.
Step 6: Heal the patient up to full health.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?: A consultant's tasks in RP are as follows.
-Give people their medical license
-Ensure medical personnel are fulfilling their duties
-Spread information regarding medical tasks to both medics and other foundation personnel
-Be an ideal foundation staff member by being kind and supportive
-Be a good role model to any CL3 and below personnel
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in: Bob "Thandois" Bobberson, born in America, was never seen as a bright child. Bob was always getting into trouble with teachers, his parents, and couldn't make any friends. Entering High School, Bob was not a star student, averaging high Ds and low Cs in class. However, regardless of his work ethic, Bob got noticed by some doctors in a mandatory school-administered test. Through his report, they saw potential in Bob. These doctors put effort into changing Bob, and through their work, Bob started to change. Bob graduated High School a year early with great potential in becoming a doctor. Fast forward a few years and Bob had just finished his Residency program at a local high school when once again the doctors from years before approached him. To his surprise, these docotrs look like they haven't aged a day, as a matter of fact, they look identical. They offered Bob a job far from his family. This job looks like it pays well, and with nothing but money on his mind, Bob took this job. This put Bob on his path of being a Consultant for the SCP Foundation, leading him to where he is today.
