This application has been crafted for the sake of being more involved in events so that I am better equipped to write down official Civil Gamers lore for them, as a Loremaster role does not exist.

I am good at creating concepts but actually forming PAC-related things is not my strong suit.

I will primarily be using this position to write lore, create ideas and share them with the current GM staff. Thank you for your consideration, and if these aspects do not align with what you desire, I will consider my application denied since my only interest is to create and write great lore for this server.

Thank you for your consideration.

SECTION 2

Experience & Reasoning

Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster / Event Manager in a community?

This will be my first experience working on Garry's Mod as a Game Master / Event Manager. However, do not let that dissuade you from my spirit and passion for the concept of events. I have worked on countless forum RPGs as a Game Master, running stories that required the input of dozens of people writing up their own unique stories at the same time.

I believe a prime example would be when I created a Discord for the sake of collaborative writing on a certain website that I will not name. In this Discord, we were dedicated to a site that would reward us with stat points for the amount that we wrote. Seeking to be the best in our field, we went all out. However, we needed a leader that was willing to organize us, keep us on the straight and narrow and ensure that when it came to these collaborative efforts, we would have an organizational shine.

That person was me.

I consistently created threads alongside over 20+ people that surpassed word counts in the 100,000 range. One was even in the 200,000 range. I have organized and orchestrated novels worth of serious roleplay with all sorts of beautiful stories coming out at once. Do I think they could have done it on their own? Absolutely. However, would it have been as organized, well designed and streamlined as it was without my guidance? I honestly don't think so.

When it comes to a passion for well organized roleplay through and through, I'm the end all, be all. That is something I have 110% confidence in.

Do you have any previous experience with serious roleplay?

I will be taking from my last answer here and say I have a lot of experience with serious roleplay. While I do enjoy goofing off in Garry's Mod from time to time, when it comes down to it, a lot of the enjoyment from things like this come from the moments where you sit down, get serious and everyone plays their role properly. When all the pieces of the puzzle are moving in tandem with one another, every note hit properly and the story begins to weave together a tapestry of wonder for everyone involved.

Serious roleplay is how I got my start in roleplaying altogether. I have 12+ years of experience with roleplaying on a serious level where I was expected to work with others to create an amazing story. I have achieved this multiple times over and have no qualms sharing some of the collaborative stories I have both created and spearheaded. I have a firm belief that serious roleplay is truly the best thing to come out of servers and forums like this.

I can only hope to share that passion through my writing.

How many hours can you be on everyday?

I will be blunt. I do not get on every day. Sometimes, I will only spend 2 hours on. Others, I'll be on for 10. It varies wildly due to my energy levels after my work. However, when it comes to writing lore (the primary thing I intend to do with my position), I intend to get one to two chapters out per week for the server.

Why do you want to become a Gamemaster on our server?

This.

This was a story written by me regarding official lore for the Civil Gamers SCP RP server. To say it was received well would be an understatement. People who were included in this lore were excited, others had commended the style of writing employed and said it was 'like reading an article straight from the SCP Wiki'. It struck me that I have skills I can bring to the server that are unique to me: a writer's edge. I've been doing this for a decade with others and I've been honing my skills as a writer all this time. I'd like to put it to the test with everyone on this server as the audience to my works.

My desire to become a Game Master doesn't stem from wanting to be a staff member or someone who can run fun events. It stems from wanting to be there when people run events and recording the stories that arise from it. To record the ever expanding lore of Site 56 and Site 65 in real time as it happens. To make members feel like they're truly being impactful on the world of SCP RP beyond the hearsay of their friends. To immortalize people.

To immortalize my writing in the minds of those who have come to enjoy the server in the same way I have.

What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants?

I've already shown my efficiency in the past. The lore that I've written for the server was the result of a week's worth of work. A 3,000+ word story about things upcoming, I thought to myself.. what could I do if I actually involved myself in events that were done on the server? What could I do if I wrote down the stories of the people that were playing to make them feel involved beyond the hearsay?

I'd end up repeating myself over my answers if I told you why I was special. If there were a role for Loremaster, that's something I would have applied for in the millisecond those applications opened. However, I think this will work just fine.

I may not run a lot of events. I may not even be flagged on for working a whole lot. What I want to bring to the team is a very different aspect of the job that I think should be created: creating our own Civil Gamers record for the stories that unfold on this server. To bring those stories to life for my tenure on this server -- that is what I would be able to help with.

What makes me special is that I have the skill, the drive and the confidence to make it happen. Even if I have to type every single word myself.

SECTION 3

Event Ideas

This would play out as a training exercise for E-11. With this unit being the primary unit involved with breaches, it would be a good training exercise for them to need to deal with a high health target.

The Game Master would set themselves to the model of some sort of target (this could be an SCP, a unique model, etc.). They would then set their health to something along the lines of 50,000. A number that they could not hope to achieve. The E-11's goal would be to make their 'lives' last as long as possible. Each E-11 would only have one life, meaning they could not return to the fight after they die.

Once all E-11 in the area have been killed by way of a one-tap weapon (this would need to happen through a melee kill for realism in combating SCPs), the Game Master takes stock of how much health they have and awards the E-11 a grade based on their performance.

For example, reducing the target to 5,000 health would mean 45,000 damage done. This would result in an A for doing great. On the flipside, if the target had 40,000 health, it'd mean there was only 10,000 damage done. This would result in a D.

Rinse and repeat this exercise three to five times in different areas of the HCZ in order to get a good idea of the combat health of the regiment since they'll be forced to preserve their lives for a good grade.
This is based around SCP-4551.

The Foundation has received a parcel from one of the neighboring sites. The parcel comes with very distinct instructions on how the object inside needs to be protected:
  • It must be contained in a soundproof room so that others cannot hear the ring from afar.
  • It must be cleaned with a 20% electrolytic solution of white vinegar mixed with salt once per day and after every testing session.
  • All entities of SCP-4551-1 are to be treated with respect, otherwise there may be dire consequences.
The bell will be placed in the temporary containment of the inanimate room within LCZ. From there, Researchers will be requested to experiment with the bell. If they do not know what to do, we will encourage them to possibly have a D-Class ring the bell.

A Game Master will take on the form of SCP-4551-1, an apparition that is meant to take on the role of a significant loved one that has passed on. The D-Class may take the lead on what to refer to you as (mom, dad, etc), but if they do not take the lead, you are free to create a beginning in the form of 'Son, I've missed you' or 'Son, how dare you?!' for the sake of a parent.

You will engage in a conversation with the subject for roughly five minutes before disappearing without warning. Such is the effects of SCP-4551. This will heavily rely on D-Class desiring roleplay, so it may be difficult to find good results.
A representative from three random departments will be chosen to represent themselves in a court setting.

This court will primarily reside within the Lecture Hall. There is a mystery box with a special prize inside, but no one knows what it is inside of it. The note on the outside says 'This belongs to the one that proves themselves worthy of it.' Due to this, there was bickering among the Foundation staff as to who is 'worthy'.

These representatives will duke it out in a court-like setting where they will make their cases on why the mystery box should be theirs. They will be allowed to cross-examine one another's arguments, make arguments against them and ultimately it will be up to an Ethics Member to decide which department is worthy of the prize.

The prize will be a Perfect Double Cheeseburger. (And possibly some money after the joke is over.)

PHASE 1: Ground Zero of Corruption

Boxes are placed in the spawn room of every department, including CI. Whomever opens these boxes will be teleported to a brand new environment where they will be briefed on what will come of them.

SCP-6840. Project AEGIS.

The boxes have given form to a sentient form of SCP-1408 that has attached themselves to their heads. Through this, their memories have been drastically rewritten to the point where they have understood the texts of SCP-6840. For all non-CI participants, they will become hostile toward the Foundation. Not to the point where they will kill, but rather, they will aim to cause as much chaos as they possibly can within their regiments to break up the general flow that they usually have.

As for the CI, he will become the Prophet. All people affected by SCP-6840 will know of this CI member and regard him as they would a God. To give him sacrifices, bounties and other such pleasantries would please them. This member of CI will gain a massive amount of health and gain a unique disguise: O5-2 "The Unforgiven".

With this disguise modeling over his normal frame, he will be tasked with infiltrating the base to gain knowledge on what Project AEGIS is all about. But not before explaining to his fellow CI that this very task will end with their annihilation.

PHASE 2: The Chain of Command's Ebb and Flow

Site Administration, the Overseer Council and the Ethics Committee will be aware of the fact that there are bad actors in their midst through new documentation that has spawned in their respective spawns. These documents are not to be destroyed, but rather they will serve as messages. Information on what they can do to try and avoid this grievous fate.

Messages from a deceased O5-2 from Site 921.

Speaking seemingly from the grave, the documents note that there are people within each department that have gone rogue due to their exposure to a certain SCP that cannot be directly named to the memetic hazards associated with it. The job of these three departments will be to interview each and every rogue agent to try and discover the identity of their 'prophet'.

Through these interviews, each 'rogue' will be instructed to not give the message by any means necessary except for killing the person interviewing them. However, they will be free to kill themselves (with the understanding they will no longer participate in the event if they do so). Only one of these rogues will be instructed to give the answer as to who their Prophet is. Once this information is given, a codeword will be screamed over O-Comms (even if the player's comms is stolen). Upon hearing this codeword...

The Prophet will be allowed to kill on his way to the documents he must find.

PHASE 3: The Endgame

The goal of the Prophet is to find the five documents hidden in very specific areas. All of the Rogues will be made aware of these locations alongside the Prophet. It will be up to the Rogues whether they work to get people far away from the documents or bait them inwards so they can distract while the Prophet gains his documents.

For each Document, the Prophet will speak the Codeword in O-Comms (the title of the Document) to prove that they found it.

When all five pieces are gathered, the Prophet will be able to take all existing Rogues and give them a new command: to slay everyone in their way toward a meeting place of their choice. All Rogues will be given heightened health (around 5,000) due to the new power granted to them by their Prophet. Once the Rogues and the Prophet finally meet with one another, they will deliver their final message to the Foundation: a complete and total annihilation.

The Prophet will be given the choice to begin a 'process' to destroy the facility (which comes in the form of a nuke). This same process will destroy the Chaos Insurgency's base, laying waste to everything in the general area.

It will be up to everyone unaffected by SCP-6840 to fight against the forces of Project AEGIS.

The Rogues and their Prophet vs the Foundation and Chaos Insurgency in the fight for their lives.

MISSIONS

Project AEGIS:
  • Chaos Insurgency: You will play the role of the Prophet. Your goal is to gather the five Documents within the Foundation walls with your unique disguise, help to lead the Rogues and ultimately serve as their leader in Phase 3.
  • O-1 / A-1: You will be working to gather your forces up on Ethics Committee / Overseer members and attempt to lead them elsewhere. Whether you choose to do it verbally or by creating false scenarios in the comms system is up to you.
  • Nu-7: You must ensure that your Prophet makes their way inside. They will inform you that their fellow CI is evil and must be punished for their crimes against the world. The Rogue must ensure no CI make their way near the Prophet, even if they must guard him personally.
  • E-11: You must ensure your Prophet can get around the facility freely. Once you are in contact with your Prophet, speak to them and make sure they can get to HCZ without delay. Give them proper clearance and ensure no one interacts with them.
  • GENSEC: You must cause chaos to try and lure other units to your area. Whether this is through subtly releasing D-Class by being a bit slow with your restraints, straying from your post to ensure others are distracted or releasing D-Class from an escort, create distractions around the place.
Unaffected by SCP-6840:
  • Chaos Insurgency: You have to warn the Foundation! You are unaware of what your former friend looks like now, but you know that they're on their way to get something that will destroy both the Foundation and the Chaos Insurgency. Warn them and try to get inside to stop the Prophet from fulfilling his desires.
  • O-1 / A-1: Stick to your escorted members of your respective groups, make sure that they don't stray from the path and keep your eyes out for a threat. Ensure that you help investigate into any odd activity around the site.
  • Nu-7: Make sure that all Nu-7 stay above on surface, ensure that do not kill the CI on sight when they try to explain what's going on. Question anyone who does anything different from this.
  • E-11: Make sure that you are always checking the IDs of people going in and dealing with breaches that may occur. You are the line of defense between the Prophet and the documents.
  • GENSEC: Ensure there is always order throughout the depths of D-Block and the checkpoints. Keep an eye out for those who aren't doing their job properly or who are trying to leave an awful lot from their post.
  • Site Administration / O-5 / Ethics Committee: Your jobs will be the most important beyond the CI. You must try to identify the Rogues through activities on the site. Everyone that isn't CL5 is under suspicion. Do whatever you can to get the information before the middle of Phase 3... or else you may truly face total destruction at the hands of SCP-6840's works.

The application speaks for itself.
Prodigy's undying dedication to lore and imagination paired with his ability to break the walls of what's expected when partaking in events will create some of the greatest events possible.

APPLICATION RESCINDED

I was only interested in having a better perspective of writing lore. However, due to the expectations of me from a job perspective (not things I'm disappointed in), I don't think I'll be a good fit since I won't be putting myself to in-game expectations beyond what I've taken on.

I thank you for the opportunity for applying and hope you all have a great day.

NOTE: If you have any desire to utilize any of the event ideas I've put in this application, you're perfectly free to. They are open source and they were come up with on the fly. Let me know how they go if you do!
