For how long have you played on CG SCP: Since around February last year.
Age: 23.
In what country are you located?: UK.
Time zone: BST.
Character name(s): Tommy "Ulysses" Graham.
Civilian name : Lucas "Graham" Simms.
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA.
Do you have a mic?: Yes I do.
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: Holding - ISD Investigator, SCP-096. Held - E-11 CSG.
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: 1 FailRP (Feb 21 2024) which I honestly don't remember what happened at all. 1 RDM (Mar 11 2024) which I don't really remember either but it may have been me dropping a Chemical Injection Gun on somebody's head and it killing them.
Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?:
I enjoy the aspect of being the so-called "Police" on Site-65 making sure nobody is violating the FLC, CoE, CoC and helping the Foundation be a safer place for everybody. My aspirations are to grow together and help improve the department in any way I possibly can. I'd love the opportunity to be able to do much more for the department and SIte-65 itself than I currently am able to in regard to achieving those goals. Most of my time is spent on ISD so I finally came to a realization that it might be the perfect time to reach for more.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
I have been an Agent and later on an Investigator long enough to figure out what the Internal Security Department is all about, how we function, what the Leadership is looking for and identifying areas where it might be lacking in support. I'd like to be the one that can assist in bridging that gap. I consider myself to be a thoughtful and supportive person that relishes in helping people and upholding morality at all times. I don't take sides to blindly dispense "Justice" and remain neutral when dealing with arrests or investigations, trying my best figure out what exactly has transpired. I think bringing in more RP scenarios even when dealing with arrests is sometimes more essential as well as interesting for all parties involved and provides more entertainment than just putting someone in the slammer outright whilst barely talking to them. I take my job seriously, but that doesn't mean you have to be a stick in the mud and uncompromising. I would also enjoy being able to help in emergency situations where a CL4 is required but not available to enable security systems, opening/shutting the bulk or blast doors during a breach, and being a leading figure when no one else is able to.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
Someone who can combine morals, professionalism, unity in their department and has a strong sense of responsibility. Someone who is kind but firm, just but magnanimous. Someone who is supportive and approachable but resolute when enforcing the FLC, CoE and CoC. Someone that is vigilant, attentive, and looks for evidence before making any rash decisions. Someone that holds themselves to a higher standard. Someone that is knowledgeable and able to help people with any questions or issues that they might have. Most importantly, someone others can look up to.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
Apart from a few arrest reports, samplings as a researcher, and psyche/physical evaluations as a doctor, I've made none.
The document should be clear and concise, have an index page, named pages, minimal grammatical errors, and provide documented proof (like pictures) if applicable. Keeps you engaged and perfectly describes the contents to the extent that somebody who has no prior knowledge of it is able to fully grasp it.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
They hold all the basic responsibilities as other CL4 personnel, such as turning on teslas, opening or shutting blast/bulk doors, and leading people during emergencies.
However, the core responsibilities are different, they are a Leadership role in ISD (Think of it like MTF LT) and are involved in:
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
Like stated previously, I would love to be able to help ISD grow into something greater. Becoming a well-oiled machine is what every department should aspire to be. I believe that teamwork is a substantial and essential asset, and if there's something people are frustrated or aren't sure about, they will always have someone to rely on. I would strive to maintain good relationships with other departments to maintain cohesion and build trust. I always enjoy assisting people with any questions and trainings they may require. As part of the FTE department, I've been watching many trainings and Agent/Operative tests. I go out of my way to help in any way I can whenever someone wishes to join our department. I dabbled in handling training in the past with the help of Commissioner Adagio "Elderwood" and believe myself to be ready. I would like to be working more towards building respect within the Foundation instead of fear and distrust, after all, we are merely trying to maintain law and order, as without those, without morals and ethics, we are merely animals. Nobody is perfect, and I'm not saying I would be either, but I am honest and own up to any mistakes I make, that doesn't stop me from taking steps in the right direction, one small step at a time.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Ever since a young age, Tommy Graham had always wanted to become a police officer. Growing up, he idolized his Father, who was a patrol officer. He told him many stories about his work of keeping the peace and protecting people from harm. The stories lit a spark inside Tommy and he wanted to grow up to be just like his dad. He dedicated most of his time to training and studied hard. At the young age of 18, he joined the Police Force and made a name for himself as a vigilant, loyal and just officer.
As the years went by Tommy's determination only grew. After many promotions, sleepless nights and complex investigations, he managed to become a Chief Superintendent at the age of 36, a position of respect and competence, as well as a reputation for himself for tackling even the worst of cases.
But the world Tommy had put his heart into and dedicated his life to, was about to shatter.
It all started with a single case, a mysterious disappearance coupled with a string of strange incidents that were never solved, all the clues pointing in the direction of one single man- Tommy. Fake evidence was planted, and false testimonies were made. The next morning, Tommy was met with a set of handcuffs on charges of a crime he never had a hand in commiting.
The trial was hasty and the verdict was harsh. Betrayed by the very own system he had once sworn to protect, it convicted Tommy on charges of corruption. The man who was once a dedicated and determined follower of the law, was now sitting behind bars.
For five gruelling years, Tommy lived in a hell of his own. The days blended into each other. Tommy dreamed of uncovering the real culprits and clearing his name once and for all every night, but the burden of this betrayal weighed heavily on his conscience. His whole identity had been taken away from him, and he had to fight everyday just to survive. One notion remained with him despite the darkness, he would prove his innocence.
On the day of his release, Tommy was now a hardened man, left scarred from what he had to endure, the betrayal, and yet, he was more determined than ever. That was when a letter came to him, it was short, unsigned, but it did not have to say much.
“We know what you've been through. We could use someone like you. The SCP Foundation is interested in your skills. Come find us.”
The Foundation, a secret organization that dealt in things that were far beyond the ordinary, things that were often far more dangerous than anything he had faced in the past. The letter had been delivered with precision, and Tommy had a gut feeling that it was no coincidence. This may be his one chance for redemption.
He pondered for a moment, but without waiting much longer Tommy immediately reached out to the Foundation, he was eager to start over, but this time as a man far more dangerous than the Chief Superintendent. Someone who had encountered the worst of humanity and the paranormal. As a result, the once fallen officer, Tommy Graham, who had been betrayed and had everything stripped away from him, was brought back to life within the SCP Foundation as an ISD Agent committed to enforcing laws and protocols whilst defending humanity from hidden threats. His journey of justice had began anew.
