Character name(s): William Bootsmicker
Civilian name: Bill Booker
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- ISD Investigator / Dea Agent / CI - A
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I have one warning from June 9th, 2024, for "inappropriate conduct."
Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
- During my time playing in this game during the beginning, I had been swapping around roles, feeling around for what would fit me. I eventually found ISD, and ever since then, I have been playing it. I eventually progressed to Investigator, which has opened up more operations for me to conduct and further opened up my ability to progress in a role I feel fits me. I learned new things, interacted with lots of fun new people in this department, and now I believe I am ready to progress further in my role.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
- During my time as isd, I have learned many things about the role, the wrongs, the rights, and also how to deal with the problems i may face. I am always open to growing and learning new things, even when I believe I understand a lot. I love to teach others how to do things, the same way I was taught, because I feel like that's how we all grow as a whole. I am very understanding and never try to take a side but rather understand everyone's perspective, because misunderstandings are very common in communication, which is what ISD is about. Being able to communicate with others is what I do best, as well as helping and teaching people the right things.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
- Someone who can understand others and communicate with them. Not being too lenient but being strict enough that they can learn. They are a great role model and are always trying to help their staff learn. They are a great leader and a great listener, always putting others before themselves.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
- 0, unless sampling and arrest reports count, around 10. A good ropeplay serving document would have to be able to speak to a wide audience, allowing people to interact or learn from it. Whether it be a guide, an announcement, or information, people should be able to understand it, and the document should be able to answer most if not all, questions on its own.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
- They not only do the normal investigations that the rest of ISD do, but also do investigations on other cl4s. They also help lead and manage the CL3 ISD, helping them grow, and also keep a watch on them to see if they are fit for promotion or need more training. They also help perform investigations, if requested by ethics or overseers.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
- While i have been an investigator, i have been able to help many of my peers with questions or processes that i understood. Sometimes i had questions of my own, and i never shyed away from getting them answered because I knew that not doing the right thing could lead to something bad. I want to expand my knowledge in isd, and also share this knowledge on a bigger scale, helping new agents and operatives, as well as grow new connections in the department and in others as well. I love to teach others and watch them grow, learning that I was able to raise someone from my own teachings.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- My character, before joining ISD, worked in site security, GSD. Being an officer, he always experiences containment breaches. For a long time, he had to be on his toes, whether it be in classes or SCP breaches, he had to think quickly and move fast. He built up his resistance to psychological stress and also improved his awareness from standing in the D block, watching the D classes. Over time, however, he noticed that it wasn't always the d-classes escaping or the SCPs breaching every once in a while, but rather the peers and staff he worked with. Over time, he observed the rules they broke, the unethical treatment they conducted to d class. One day, however, he had enough of it. He decided to speak to an isd about one of his superiors, whom he witnessed bribe researchers for a liquid that they got from a sample he sent them. After that, he kept on speaking up, and over time, he had eyes on him. These eyes, however, werent his peers, but rather themselves. One day, they went up to him with a document and told him to " think over it ". From that day on he had worked inside ISD, helping watch over D Block, just like he had done ever since he got into the site.
