Why are you applying for the Chief of Security?

I seek the Chief of Security position because effective leadership stands essential for maintaining departmental integrity and effectiveness. The current leadership transition creates an essential opportunity to introduce fresh organizational structure and performance standards which will motivate the team.

My dedication to safety and discipline along with my commitment to developing a unified security force motivates me to lead in this role. I aim to join an organization which will surpass expectations to rebuild GENSEC into a proud and efficient security department that earns member trust.

I hold the dual position of Manager of Guidance & Intervention (G&I). The acquired leadership experience together with coordination skills and training expertise enables me to lead the department toward success while boosting security team member performance.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Security?:
-My extensive years of service have given me an in-depth knowledge of the Department of Security operations which few other individuals possess. I have developed strong working relationships with GSD members because I understand how to provide leadership support and management that sustains top performance and discipline standards.

-I will dedicate all my strength to return GENSEC to its complete operational capacity. My leadership approach will base itself on accountability alongside teamwork and a defined path for advancement. The department will regain its pride through our combined efforts.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

Yuna Purge follows a path through the SCP Foundation which combines endurance with personal growth and unyielding dedication to her purpose. At the age of 20 Yuna joined the General Security Department (GSD) after her adopted father Viggo “Purge” took her under his guidance. The name she received was more than just a label because it represented a tradition of self-control and selfless dedication alongside absolute commitment to the General Security Department. Yuna dedicated her life to advancing through the organization while demonstrating her value in the most dangerous classified areas of the Foundation.

Yuna started her career by working as a field agent while moving between dangerous Sites where she delivered crucial support during emergencies and tactical missions and researcher defense operations. The multiple hostile anomalies' catastrophic breach left Yuna severely injured to the point where any standard operative would have died from their wounds. The Foundation chose to save her life by authorizing Project SIGMA-V which combined MTF Leviathan resources from the black budget with Research & Development Division capabilities.

The medical team transformed Yuna into a cybernetic hybrid that created a new entity from human and machine components. Yuna Purge received neural processing upgrades and skeletal reinforcement and internal anomaly detection systems which made her a living containment solution that embodied precision and power and protocol.

The Chief of Security now leads with clarity, authority, and tactical foresight. The General Security Department operates under Yuna's leadership which includes developing policies and coordinating with high-level command members from ECM and O5 and SA oversight to maintain operational integrity. Her technological upgrades have not altered her deep contemplative nature as she frequently wonders about identity and loyalty alongside the moral consequences of her transformation.

I do very much see value as you being the G&I manager, which I have heard very good things about and is very similar to another Gensec department about internal security that I cannot mention lest I be permanently banned or something.

I do also value repeat returning to Gensec after going on other ventures in other departments (such as DoR) but you have become a captain less than a year ago, and from my experience since 2022, I have seen you on Gensec almost never until august 2024 ish.
I have said this with another application but I very much value explaining certain experiences or achievements other than "I have been loyal for many years" or "My dedication to safety and discipline along with my commitment to developing a unified security force"

this safety and united security force has also been contradicted from an extremely horrible experience I have heard of. I said I have seen value in G&I but I have seen that a Captain actually was pushed to resigning from the mismanagement and "witchhunting" that they would carry out on him. no matter the complete validity of this statement, I have seen the texts from the Security Seniors chat and it really does not look good, no matter the truth to this, this Captain felt that you were purposely targeting him while in character. there are much better and more ethical ways in the eyes of the person being "investigated" to carry this out that are not using hearsay from other CL2 GSD and a D-class as evidence for your own internal security group to carry out official punishments

I really think you have potential at a surface level for being chief but you have a lot to work on. I don't think that I want to complain about the quality of your application but just to your person. A chief should listen to their other captains and not jump the gun on someone you personally do not believe in as soon as you get the chance. do better and reapply in 2 weeks.

Yuna is not someone that should be given a department leader role. From personal experience he is extremely immature, vindictive, and power hungry. Many of you may know me as a long time GENSEC main and former CoS. Yuna and his witch hunts against me made me leave GSD for good. As the lead of G&I Yuna had targeted me simply for us disagreeing on simple matters. G&I has been the worst thing for the health of GENSEC since A-6; becoming one man's personal squad of targeted folly. He had threatened to leave GSD nearly every week that I was active and constantly believes the whole world to be against him. Every minor disagreement was life and death. If he gets the power of a senior cl4 I can only see all the great captains becoming fed up and leaving GENSEC. This would be the final nail in the coffin, and the fall of an era.

Under no circumstances should he be allowed a Sr. CL4 position.

Yuna is incredibly knowledgeable about various policies and procedures that take place within the site. Yuna has many connections built, has held some high leadership positions, and has been here for a while.

Unfortunately, all of that is completely out-weighed by a desire for power. Captains have fairly limited power (for good reason), and I believe providing Yuna with the stepping stone to Chief of Security will turn GSD into a hellscape of power-abuse, meaningless license removals, and constant toe-stepping between Gensec and other departments.

I believe that - especially if denied - Yuna should take a step back and really think about how actions on the server can affect the public view of you. While someone may view themselves as simply "strict" or "stern", this can easily lead to a public view of "power-hungry" or "difficult to get along with".
