Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
- During my spare time from other IRL related activities, such as work and the preparation for going into my first year of college, I have grown a passion for the ISD department and what they represent to maintain the operations within the Foundation. It motivates me to support both myself and others in helping the department grow and uphold the principles for which it stands, as I do believe that I am ready to step into this role, by all that is driven with my mindset focused on growth, responsibility, and service. My main goal is to help both the ISD department and the ISD personnel progress while staying true to the principles of upholding the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Codex, and as an Inspector, I can provide that mission and carry it through the troubles that may arise. Advancing in this environment demands dedication and resilience qualities that I have developed through prior experience. Thanks to my time at Site-65 and the ISD department, it has shaped my approach to leadership that offers guidance that is firm yet fair, without seeking authority for its own sake.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
- Back when I was an Ethics Committee Assistant, I would be assigned by members and the Chairman of Ethics to write many reports on what they felt was necessary to create, and public foundation reminders/public safety reminders to follow, though I can not say that the majority of what I wrote to serve for the EC were extremely major to a degree, I want to say at least three. I believe that the most important document I have written that had significance in enhancing an RP experience and work place was when I was asked by a member of ethics to create a document to remind Security, Medical, and Foundation Staff (Chefs, Tech Experts, etc.) to remind them all of the COE and how to properly follow it from each respective department. I remember how it influenced the staff to do better and remember what they should be adhering to. It overall enforced the Code of Ethics and served as a reminder to the departments that lacked at the time to better understand what it means to be what they are working for.
- For what makes a document appropriate for its good terms of quality, in my eyes, it would have to feature SCP Foundation details, the intended purpose, format, grammar, and punctuation. For instance, when I look into someone's document, I want to feel as though I am reading a document from the Foundation. I like seeing details that feature things such as the SCP Logo, appropriate titles from their respective department, proper clearance levels, and anything else that sets the tone to tell you that you are reading something that looks like it was written by someone who knew what they were creating with a clear intention. The formatting is the backbone of what makes the documents clear and understandable to read through; otherwise, you may be looking through a whole jumble and a mismatch of information that can certainly wrap your head around. Grammar and punctuation are self-explanatory and common knowledge to understand how someone can make a document good, as they can make the mistake of not writing appropriately, which could result in confusion or a sloppy and poorly made reputation.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
- The main responsibilities to uphold regardless of rank within the department include the enforcement of the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Codex, while making the proper arrests of foundation personnel with the respective and appropriate reason for the arrest.
- As an Inspector, further responsibilities increase that I will uphold and follow, which include ensuring that all ISD personnel are enforcing the COE, COC, and Codex without faulty reasons or evidence for an arrest, taking the time to inspect and verify any arrest reports given by ISD personnel, provide assistance to those who are confused or lack the knowledge/experience in ISD, observe said ISD personnel, work alongside with other Inspectors, and report directly to Commissioner+ by respectively following the Chain of Command.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
- I uphold the words I have said here previously in this application, and I have a firm grip on my beliefs on what should be done accordingly. I provide and currently provide an active status that I believe passes expectations, as it shows my commitment to seeing the status of how the foundation and ISD department are running. I will always follow and take direct orders from my superiors and will get the job done, whether it's wanted or needed. Thanks to my recent practice in memorizing the COE, COC, and Codex, I can provide easy and understandable answers to certain problems that lower-level personnel may struggle with. I'm an easy-to-approach sort of person, and I remain utmost honest and respectful to everyone when it comes to times of taking things seriously.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Zephaniah Lucas Gonzalez was born on November 13th, 1996, in the city of Springfield, Illinois. During his years from middle school to high school, he fantasized about joining the police force, as he felt that he could make a difference in bringing a safer community, something that had been on his mind since he learned that his mother had passed away due to a violent gang activity that had occurred in the middle of the night. During his years in college, he attended Lincoln Land Community College at the age of 18, where he also attended the police academy at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center (MCLETC). Due to his role model behavior in showing how well fit he was to uphold the law and regulations, he dropped out of college and became a law enforcement officer, in which he fulfilled his goal to avenge and protect the community he grew up around.
- By the age of 22, Zephaniah was at the top of his game, and Foundation agents scattered across Illinois had been recently observing his duties and behavior, and in disguise, they offered him a business opportunity to enforce at a private facility. After a serious background process, interviews, forums, and agreements, he was offered the job to work in the ISD department at Site-65, gaining proper clearance and information that he swore to keep at utmost secrecy. He continues to work at the Foundation and remains a vigilant and respected member of the ISD department.
