After a short break, I am back again and ready to return to GSD. I naturally want to return to my prior role as Captain as soon as possible. There is also the fact that this is the role best suited to me on the site, as I am, currently, the member of the General Security Department with the most total experience, having been a captain for two years and a half. I am commited to Gensec and will continue to be commited for as long as I remain here. Becoming a captain is also a great stepping stone for future aspirations such as CoS and SA.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
As mentioned, I have extensive experience on General Security. Having experienced even a time before the Gensec rework as the old roles of Sergeant and Riot Sergeant, the predecessors of the SRU and SCU respectively. From then, I have gone back and forth with the Captian and Sergeant roles, even helping with managing the Gensec rework where all documents had to be rewritten in a joint effort by every member of GSD leadership.
During my tenure(s) as Captain I have been given several responsibilities such as a leading position right below the commanders of a defunct subdivision called HeadHunters, or HH, or being the Head of the Chemical Gathering subdivision, working closely with RSD to stock up on useful chemicals for GSD leadership.
However, when it comes to appointing an individual as a clearance 4 role, their personal qualities are just as important as their accomplishments. I have good relationships with all members of staff I have interacted with, am responsible for both myself and those below and beside me, and capable of maintaining my composure when under pressure. I have demonstrated my experience with leadership constantly, maintaining a friendly rapport most of the time while being strict when necessary. During my tenure(s) as captain I was generally well received with a few exceptions, but those were really just from a dislike of gensec leadership as a whole rather than just me, and have therefore never been dishonorably discharged from the position. (except once for inactivity but cmon I had IRL exams to determine my future at the time).
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
Captains have several responsibilities both in and out of RP. It is important for them to stick to these responsibilities to set a good example for GSD.
Some responsibilities include:
Leading over Gensec and D-block
Training and organizing tryouts for members of GSD
Writing documentation for Gensec leadership
Maintaining positive relations with other departments
Maintaining a secure environment in the facility
Aiding MTFs in C1s, C3s, C4s and C5s when needed
Dealing with C2s in D-block
Organising sweeps when needed
Training high level GSD into becoming Sergeants or Captains
