What server are you applying for: SCP-RP (UK)
Your Username: Dr Wizard
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:103644961
Discord Username: Dr Wizard
Age: 23
What's your current playtime: 40 hours
Do you have a mic: Yes
Your characters name: Uriel Xal'atath
Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications: Yes
Have you received any kicks/warns/bans, and if so, why: No
How many hours can you be on everyday: 2 to 4 on weekday and 4+ on weekends
Do you have any previous experience as a staff member in a community: Yes - My first time being a staff member (Admin) was within this community about 10-9 years ago when it was called Civil Gamers (DarkRP), and I have been staffed in other communities.
Tell us about something that you're proud that you've achieved in-game:
I am proud that I have managed to continuously get an 'Excellent' grade for most of my work within the Research department. I enjoy creating, planning and completing well-structured and unique tests to push the metaphorical boundaries of conventional research. My colleagues (researchers) have described many of my tests as 'out of the box', which is a great complement, as I strive to explore unique and creative approaches to SCP experimentation and while I maintain professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
Conducting tests on the effects of various materials and substances on entitles all the way to creating complex psychological and physiological evaluations. I like to think I have built a good and strong reputation for innovative thinking, detailed documentation, and high-quality research.
I love fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment where I can share my findings and inspire others to think outside the box, question assumptions, and push boundaries in their research. I take pride in maintaining high-quality test procedures and ensuring thorough, reliable results. In a moderation role, I’d bring that same dedication—helping uphold the server’s high standards for roleplay, professionalism, and, most importantly, ensuring everyone has fun.
Why would you like to become a staff member: I would like to join the staff team to repay the community that first got me involved with Gmod all those years ago. This community has been a place where I’ve enjoyed a significant number of experiences, built friendships, and honed my skills in roleplay.
I genuinely enjoy helping/serving players, whether their needs are big or small, and I take pride in creating a welcoming and engaging environment. Whether it’s assisting new players, resolving issues fairly, or keeping the server running efficiently and smoothly, I want to contribute in a way that makes a positive impact on the server and community as a whole.
If you could improve something on the staff team, what would it be, and how would you do so:
Since I’m not currently part of the staff team, my ability to make an informed decision is limited, and I have not heard many people complain about the staff team.
Ultimately, I would actively listen, gather feedback, and work alongside the staff team to implement solutions that benefit both staff and players alike. I aim to be a constructive, proactive, and adaptable team member who helps bridge the gap between staff and the community while keeping the server running smoothly.
The only improvement I could suggest would be to add a 'save draft' when doing the application staff in the forms; however, that is not staff-related.
