What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I am the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant due to my previous experience in this role, My aptitude for spotting violations, I have thorough knowledge of the Foundation Legal Codex from my time as an ISD member. While some may dismiss this reason due to the fact it's not 'special', it has significantly increased my ability to uphold the Foundation Legal Codex, which is a responsibility of Ethics Committee Assistants. Furthermore, I strive to learn new things and improve my skills, ensuring I can stay adaptable to new challenges.
Another important quality that I bring to the role of Ethics Committee Assistant is maturity. I always aim to maintain good composure, as it brings a more professional outlook on not only me, but the role I'm currently on. Beyond my role based knowledge, I am skilled in creating immersive roleplay situations where all parties feel heard and appreciated.
Lastly, I want to become an Ethics Committee Assistant because I see this role as an opportunity to make a valuable impact within the Foundation. I believe this role holds greater value than simply following orders. While true, This is certainly a responsibility of the job, it's so much more than that. I've been out in the field myself as an Ethics Committee Assistant in the past, and I know the influence my decisions can have. I feel that I'm ready to take on a role with more responsibility - One where I can support in decision making like tribunals and collaborating with other people.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
• Carry out orders/requests of the Ethics Committee. -
Ethics Committee Assistants are tasked with supporting the Ethics Committee Member's/Chairman's requests. These actions could be of a wide variety, but typically include conducting department audits, passing on important information, and addressing any concerns by personnel. If an issue is beyond their help or clearance, the Ethics Committee Assistant will move the concern above the Chain of Command, as Ethics Committee Assistants operate at the entry level.
• Authorise AA + Mass term when no Site Administration are on-site. -
In the absence of Site Administration, an Ethics Committee Assistant may have to authorise certain actions like Advanced Armoury or Mass Terminations. These decisions are typically only authorised when MTF teams are overwhelmed by breaches or D-class riots.
• Approving/Authorising tests which require the signature of an Ethics Committee Assistant. -
An Ethics Committee Assistant is responsible for authorising certain tests that require their signature, such as cross-testing on SCPs or tests on 914. These tests are typically a higher risk, and should be carried out with due diligence and professionalism.
• Hosting/Assisting in tribunals. -
An Ethics Committee Assistant may assist or hold a tribunal for personnel with Clearance Level 3 and below. In these situations, the Ethics Committee Assistant typically makes sure that the trial is conducted fairly, professionally and in accordance with Foundation regulations.
• Upholding the Foundation Legal Codex. -
Alongside the Internal Security Department, Ethics Committee Assistants are tasked with upholding the Foundation Legal Codex, ensuring that all personnel adhere to the Foundations policies and guidelines. This responsibility involves monitoring personnel behaviour/activity, overseeing research tests, and addressing violations when necessary.
• Create RP. -
Ethics Committee Assistants, alongside every other job in the foundation, require strong roleplay to immerse others. However, ECA's are held at a higher standard because of the Junior clearance 4 position, and the weight that their input carries in judgement.
• Professionalism. -
As well as creating RP, Ethics Committee Assistants are held to a higher standard than most other positions within the Foundation due to them being representatives of the Ethics Committee. Any negligence or insubordination will negatively impact the Ethics Committee's reputation. A lack of professionalism can compromise trust, or even decision making in critical moments.

Prior to working with the Foundation, Rocky was a Private Investigator with a brilliant track record, who was hired specifically for high-profile, and high-stake cases. This continued for 8 consecutive years all the while Rocky felt the pull for something greater. Luckily, Rocky was approached a short while after, and was presented with a very intriguing job opportunity which also entailed leaving his current life behind. Rocky took some time to think it over, but ultimately decided that he couldn't return to his previous life. Rocky promptly returned to his house with strict instructions to pack one singular bag of his belongings and no more. From there he exited his house and sat down on a park bench where he was taken shortly after.
Once Rocky arrived at Site-██, He was briefed on what was expected of him, and how to do his job. (MTF E-11 SGT) He then took a quiz, and passed with flying colours. However, it wasn't long before Rocky found himself troubled with an unexpected turn of events. The tension that permeated Site-██ was gnawing at him from the inside out. When an unexpected SCP breach occurred at Site-██, Rocky was one of many people who responded to attempt to reestablish containment of this anomaly.. The SCP in question that breached was SCP-106, a highly dangerous entity known for its corrosive effects, ability to phase through solid matter and send it's victims to it's 'pocket dimension' where they are often tortured before being killed. The situation quickly escalated as SCP-106 caused chaos across the facility, increasing his victims by the minute, leaving nothing behind but destruction. Despite Rocky's training to deal with this, he faced an unimaginable reality. Rocky experienced the horrors of SCP-106 first hand and faced not only irreversible physical trauma, but mental trauma too.
Rocky underwent physical and mental rehabilitation for 3 months following the breach of SCP-106, Despite the thorough recovery program, the damage was already done. In result, Rocky was transferred to Site-██.

The line goes silent as the call ends.Here, the Ethics Committee offered him with a new position, which more aligned with his expertise. The transition to this role took months of training, and multiple tests which challenged his ability to think under pressure and push past his limit, But Rocky eventually obtained the role of ECA.
Around a week after obtaining the role of Ethics Committee Assistant, he was assigned his first task.

Around a week after getting adjusted to his new position within the Foundation, Rocky was assigned his first task. A clearance level 3 Senior Researcher, named Harold Tov had been accused of violating multiple guidelines, including: Testing on more than 3 D-class at once testing on an SCP above his clearance.
Outcome:
After a thorough tribunal, Harold Tov was charged with:
• Article 3.1 Protocol. - Failure to abide by departmental policy.
• Article 3.3 Procedures. - Failure to adhere with testing guidelines.
• Article 4.4 Resources. - Use of more than three D-class for an individual test without Ethics Committee approval.
• Article 4.1 Trespass. - Unauthorised access to an area beyond your Clearance Level and/or authority.
Tov was given a jail sentence of 30 minutes, A job-ban of 1 day and was to be retrained as a Jr. Researcher.

Report: Emergency Authorisation for Cross-Testing

At approximately 7:15, I received an urgent directive from Ethics Committee Member ████████, requesting me to approve and oversee a Cross-Test of 2 highly dangerous SCPs. This request came directly from the Ethics Committee Member rather than a regular researcher due to the serious nature of the situation. This test's objective was to see if SCP-4820's anomalous ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue could withstand and recover from the highly caustic substance produced by SCP-075.
BRIEFING:

SCP-4820:
is an adult Filipino man, appearing to be 40-50 years of age. The object is able to rapidly regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue. These capabilities possess no known limit; SCP-4820 can even regrow appendages that have been completely severed. Regeneration time increases with the severity of the injury in question and the extent of the damage; minor incisions heal almost instantaneously, but extracted internal organs take several hours to regenerate. SCP-4820 does not appear to feel pain, and often fails to notice when it is injured.
SCP-075:
SCP-075 resembles a large snail 20 cm in length, 13 cm in width, and 15 cm in height, with a muscular foot resembling a six-fingered, clawed hand. SCP-075 is exceptionally heavy, with a mass of approximately 860 kg, a property that is not understood. Desiccation is the only known means of containing SCP-075, as it will enter a dormant state when nearly completely dry.
When not desiccated, SCP-075 moves at incredible speeds for its size and mass. It adopts the behavior of a predator, jumping at and drenching its prey in a highly caustic base solution secreted from pores on its foot. These secretions are more corrosive than any substance known to terrestrial science. Due to SCP-075's aggressive behavior when active, this compound cannot be harvested. No material completely resistant to its corrosive power has been found, however, Teflon can withstand SCP-075's caustic solution for a maximum of 15 minutes.

SCP-075 & SCP-4820:
Both SCPs are to be placed in a specially modified containment chamber with reinforced walls capable of withstanding SCP-075's extreme physical strength, separated by a reinforced door for SCP-4820 to pass through.
This test will involve SCP-075 attacking SCP-4820 in a controlled manner, with SCP-4820's still attached finger inside of a triple-enforced Teflon bag to ensure it remains untouched by SCP-075's highly corrosive substance.
Testing Procedures:
SCP-075 will pass through the reinforced door and into SCP-4820's Containment Chamber. Upon entry, SCP-075 will be provoked to attack SCP-4820 in a controlled manner. SCP-075's corrosive secretions will be directed towards SCP-4820, with the primary focus being SCP-4820's finger.
Once SCP-4820 has finished secreting it's corrosive substance, A long aluminum rod will be lowered down into SCP-075's Containment Chamber to retrieve SCP-4820's finger.
From there, It will be placed in a separate Containment Chamber and monitored 24/7 for any advances in growth.

The cross-test went as planned, with what could've been a very serious breach. SCP-075's caustic solution was neglected, and almost caused a containment breach due to it taking 248 seconds to fully 'melt' SCP-4820, and it's caustic solution almost melting through its containment chamber. Fortunately, it's caustic solution was absorbed back up by SCP-075 and entered a dormant state, halting any more damage to its containment chamber.
Once the immediate threat had passed, SCP-4820's finger was retrieved, and taken separately to a different containment chamber, with him fully regrowing over the process of 2 months. SCP-4820 surprisingly retained full recollection of the events leading to his 'death', and didn't express any signs of motor or cognitive dysfunction.
This cross-test provided crucial data on the regenerative capabilities of SCP-4820. Though this test was successful, it revealed other possible dangers that could have taken place when handling SCP-075.
