Content Suggestion Nu7 ability to accept their own warfund use

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion proposes that only the highest-ranking Nu-7 member present be authorized to approve the usage of war funds. Approval authority would be removed from Site Administration (SA) and Site Command (SC) personnel, requiring requests to first go through the highest-ranking Nu-7 on site.


Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different:

Possible Positives of the suggestion:
  • Allows Nu-7 to access and deploy war funds faster, ensuring rapid response to critical surface situations where every second counts.
  • Prevents random or accidental spending by restricting approval to those with direct tactical oversight and clear operational priorities.
  • Reduces bureaucracy and communication delays, allowing funds to be put to use exactly when and where they’re needed most, similar to CI and GOC.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Would require some developer work to change war fund approval permissions (please don’t hate me for that).
  • Potential for abuse of authority by Nu-7 members, though such incidents can be managed and resolved internally.
  • SA/SC may not like it on both servers.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I had to write this twice now, so please accept it!

Note (added for clarification): Currently, warfunds can only be used by Command Sergeants (CSG) and higher. Anyone below that rank cannot access or use them. What I’m suggesting is that approval for warfunds should go to the highest-ranking MTF Nu-7 member on-site, rather than automatically going to Site Command or Site Administration. For example, if an MTF Nu-7 Captain and a Chief Overseer are both on site or online, the Captain (as the highest Nu-7) would have the authority to accept the deployment of a Care package(ammo box), not the Chief Overseer. Also that means if some with a rank below of CSG is the highest Nu7 on he wont be able to accept it. You can see also below who can deploy each of the warfunds.

LAV Airdrop - LT
MATV - CSG
Smoke Screen- CSG
Care Package (S)- CSG
Care Package (M) - CSG
Care Package (L) - CSG

Just out of curiosity, if your intention is to make deployment of war funds more efficient, how in your mind would adding additional layers of bureaucracy to the deployment of assets make it more efficient? That said, I do not know how it works currently since I am not SOP. So my own ignorance to how it works might be why I do not understand this.

Currently no matter your rank in Nu7 you must gain permission from the highest SA/SC on at the time. So if the Nu7 commander wants to spawn in a MATV he must get the Chief overseers permission to spawn it in. If the highest person is afk then you aren’t able to spawn in anything using the tac tablets. (If there is no SA/SC on then it goes to the highest Nu-7 on at the time)

But one stipulation I'd make is that it has to be a CO+ I don't trust NCO's and lower with that power

From what I know SA and SC jobs being highest on site needs to approve it, which I personally find a bit annoying.

That’s fine since the one people able to use warfunds are CSG+. I think most of these downvotes are from people who don’t fully understand how warfunds currently work, which I suppose is partly my fault maybe I should have made it clearer that CSG+ are the only ones who can currently use them. It’s the same for CI Delta and GOC 1SGTs, where their requests go to their highest superior. That makes more sense than having to wait for SA or SC for something like this.

Could you be more specific? All I see is that you are suggesting a private is allowed to authorize war funds.
something like this "Nu7 at the rank of CSG or above will be authorized to approve the usage of war fund"
It's probably one of the reasons why people are downvoting it, who would trust a private for that shit.

To be fair, all the supply drops are CSG+ meaning at minimum no one below CSG can even deploy them let alone authorize them.

If there JUST a pvt on site, they cant use warfunds physically anyways, so what are you trying to say? only CSG and above can physically utilise and drop things with the tactical tablet, and if theres a CSG online he would be the one to auth it not a private lol

If you have read the changelog you would have noticed its for CSG for Nu7, delta for CI and 1SGT for GOC. But sure i will add it to the suggestion as i replied above that i didnt explain who can use them currently.
