What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

Now I understand this post may not be taken to heart for those who play D-class, but I feel as though there should be more way to get scrap and more RP mechanics. I always talk to my friends about how it would be fun to have D-class gangs with their own minor buffs. Have each gang be led by a player D-class leader which could be made as a D-class job/whitelist, and it could let the gangs participate in wars for territory or dominance which could give the winning gang more buffs, To ensure people don't get killed with stuff they don't want to lose they can choose whether they want to participate or to not, to prevent *RDM* cases. When it comes to scrap, I'd say you could sell keycards or guns to the scrap dealer for half the price you buy it for and would help stockpile scrap for larger riots and or escapes. it might sound OP but remember that major riots require lots of effort and when the trader sells guns it takes less time sure but still requires you to wait an extended period of time. This leaves the D-class bored and unsure what to do, another thing about D-class is it is where everyone started out and should be given more care, time, and effort to be able to hook the newer players showing them new ways to not just enjoy foundation but the overall experience of the site. I also recommend expanding upon the idea of the vent system which could be made larger or have more interesting things about it, have it led to different areas or have a separate scrap area so that if someone is already getting scrap in the main area the scrap can keep flowing. Let there be reasons to have Escape risk or Trustee such as Escape risk getting discounts from scrap dealer or getting more scrap per pile. While Trustees could get paid per credit they get or getting other kinds of XP, this could turn the suits into a gameplay mechanic rather than just a status symbol. I also got an idea from Joris Kilotoviz/London Who proposed a contraband bin which could help people who want to become trustees get there faster along with a monetary bonus. Along with the quest giver, he should give scrap, money, or Karma along with XP for the quests done, also make the quests easier and more reasonable. I also recommend for at least one more place to hide/defend as Bathrooms is easily camped and vents are slow and annoying to push through such as a cafeteria which would be in style but also be fun for Roleplay along with defending it and attacking it. I'm not saying remodel D-block but put some life into it and don't make it feel like a prison to those who either are new to the server or are willingly being the underdog. To counteract these changes, I ask for GENSEC to have more ways to fight back with tactics and not just pure firepower, such as more places to shoot from and cameras to find the targets needed to either be captured or killed. (ALSO VERY IMPORTANT) Please change the railings on catwalk as the bars supporting and in the middle block shots and lead to annoying and dumb deaths not saying remove them just get rid of the hitbox that soaks up bullets. Also 912 could be disabled by D-class for 1-3 minutes which would be fair but also lore possible and could only be done every 30 minutes leaving a window for D-class to fight without interference. Negative karma could be used as a secondary currency which could give higher tier weapons in exchange for slow generating Karma and help defend against sweeps.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

I haven't found any to my knowledge

Possible Positives of the suggestion:

It could make it easier not just to riot but to roleplay and turn D-class from a riot causing, insult throwing, Annoying job to a more fun and old/new player friendly. It could also be an incentive for D-class to work together creating new forms of roleplay for D-class and GENSEC.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:

D-class may become more prevalent and could lead to more resources needed to deal with them and or Less time for testing and other forms of roleplay such as permits.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

I feel as though even if I try to recommend this it might not get accepted, but D-block although simple and at times fun in its design needs a rework not just for D-class but for GENSEC as well. Remember that the people who play D-class are players just trying to have fun and the next generation of players and along with at the core of roleplay and PVP within the Foundation much of the time.

Thanks for reading my first post but I won't be surprised if I get rejected or given counter arguments because I didn't put that much thought and instead wrote about what I knew needed change/rework.
P.S: I hope you are having a great day,
Buh bye! - William lingerson

Something else I was thinking of was a "Contraband Bin"

This would be a Entity where Dclass could dispose of any contraband items (Excluding ones from Dispeners or Scrap Trader) into a bin that automatically deletes it by removing it to a secure location outside of Dblock. For every item given in, there would be a small Karma boost with a decent cooldown.

Could maybe even scale with what items are given in, like knives or pistols have a low karma payback, but rifles and high level cards (cl3+) have a higher return.

I'm not sure how it would be coded. But it could serve as an interesting Rp alternative for Dclass to raise Karma
would probably be used to grief other Dclass players and CI raids into Dblock for weapons. Not a good idea.

If anything the inverse is better. Adding a contraband Bin where Dclass can put contraband in so they can share with other players. Useful for when you're getting off the job and you want to pass off your items.

Then, kill the Dclass trying to get rid of the weapons?

By your own logic the contraband bin could be used to majorly delay riots as the second a Dclass got spotted with an item they could just run over, bin it and then make finding them utterly useless

EDIT: Right now Dclass can do the exact same thing by just picking up a weapon, running over to the pit and throwing it in. They could even do it by throwing a whole weapon crate in.

Suggestion Denied

Hi @Willaim Lingerson ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reason(s):

The suggestion of gangs and gang warfare for territory also isn't something that we would look to implement as this would cause numerous rule breaking issues with RDM, NLR and Metagaming just to name a few.

Content Team also don't feel that development is required to acheive what you describe in relation to gangs as these could realistically be achieved via RP or in an event setting.

As for your suggestion relating to the selling of items for scrap and vent changes, these have been denied in previous suggestions recently (Such as the one below) as we are not looking to make D-Class more combative than what they already are which is what would end up happening if they had access to more scrap with the current options available.

The design of D-Block and specifically showers is done intentonally in a way so that D-Class can't hide, so we would also not be looking to add any further hiding spots here.

Finally, the reason why some shots get blocked are due to the props that are there to stop you from being able to scale your way up and avoid using the vents to get to the catwalk.

With all of this being said, and your suggestion being denied, Content Team are currently looking into ways that we can change the offerings from the scrap dealer to give D-Class more tools to use in relation to both the disruption of tests and escaping so please keep an eye out for future changelogs.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
