Content Suggestion Change the NU7 Officer M14 to something else

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Hello yes, so as it stands currently, The two CO Teams of NU7 Both US And UK have come to a unanimous agreement that there are to be new changes to the Officer Job in terms of weaponry, We believe that the weapons provided for the officer are inadequate at times and a change to them would be most suited.

A poll was given to the US CO Team in which both US And UK COs have voted overwhelmingly yes, from LTs, to CPTs, to MAJ you get the idea.



As such, This decision is agreed upon, and desired by both CO Teams, from both servers.

Our current list for new weapons stands as follows:

The SKS (used by no one on the server)

The CQ300 (used by A1)

The EBR (used by GSD Chiefs)

Additionally, since the SKS is not used by anyone on the server we have decided to carry out testing of our own to determine if it is a fitting weapon for replacement, The test yielded these results:



In the end, We collectively would like a different weapon than the M14 and our options have been listed.


TL/DR

US/UK CO Teams agreed M14 to be replaced

SKS is primary choice, has been tested, its good, can be balanced

CQ300 & EBR are alternate choices.

this holds 0 merits. Just a case of i want something new because we can.


What is tested here.

All i see is 1 content member testing it in a limited area with limited resources. There is 0 insight on stats ttk and other points that needs to be counted for consideration.

Adding x weapon comes with buffs or nerfs to balance it out. Resulting in more changes to every other department or job/weapons.

This suggestion breaks the FAS as there are 0 reasoning to replace the weapon other then we want a new weapon that will be changed to the m14 stats or similiar stats.

Hey mate, not content team but for a better chance of having this suggestion looked at you need better reasons than: the CO team would be happy, some grunt work is already done and "weapon rebalancing". This last point is vague and doesn't mean much by itself, additionally it is easier and more likely to get the stats on a weapon you already have edited rather than a new entirely

Nothing is broken you all just want a better weapon that performs better then the counter parties with current stats.

Your current reasonings and benefits listed are in violation of our FAQ in relation to weapon changes

The Content Team will no longer be accepting suggestions in relation to loadouts that are not thought through with adequate reasoning

You have not stated why these are "inadequate" and why you believe that these other weapons should be added outside of because it would "make two CO Teams quite happy".

I will give you 24 hours to come up with some in-depth and thorough reasoning as to the fact that you require this change or this suggestion will be denied.

i do agree that NU7 officer job needs a buff but keep in mind your removing the M14 not the SOPMOD. Getting the lynx is gonna be a no go for sure as that weapon was given to A-1 as it is basically pre-nerf ARX and unique to the regiment same as O-1 weapons. Now i do agree on you guys getting the EBR as it is a very good balanced weapon that can used well on surface and inside compound but you guys would have to lose SOPMOD instead of M14 having two AR'S in a kit doesn't make much sense.

Seriously, every turn of the wind some regiment will try and justify swapping a weapon around. Just get good with it or use something that is core to the server and that is a Weapons Dealer!

I'm not involved in this suggestion, I have no idea the specific reasons of why they want it beyond what's in the suggestion. I'm just saying that people make suggestions because they want the server to be fun, not necessarily because they have super specific ideas about balancing and the like that they want implemented, and that could be as simple as liking one weapon more than another.

Honestly i would like the trade the SOPMOD and the M14 for the EBR if possible but i dont think contentwill like us having that... I dont either know if both COs team will agree for this trade. I myself see the SOPMOD a very useless gun to me i dont see anyone getting on officer job to use either of our current weapons.
