What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds TYPE-REDs, low level reality benders are rare random events where random personnal aquire weak bending abilities. These abilities are primarly harmless or minimum harm, as they would mainly be basic utilities.
If TYPE-BLUEs are only strong enough to keep hold their abilities but not their bodies while having it, and TYPE-GREENs are strong enough to hold together (I assume), then TYPE-REDs are unable to maintain their abilities for long as they aren't strong enough to maintain it.
The way to become a TYPE-RED would be hanging around areas with High Humes, and they would have very low chances to become TYPE-RED. For example, Standing in Hume Fields could send you into another dimention, but 1 in 1,000 would instead turn TYPE-RED (Values can be adjusted if needed)
Abilities [Add, remove, or adjust if needed]:
Hume Stabilization (aka, Reality anchor in an ability)
Push entities. (Humans and SCPs alike)
Blink (Teleport a small distance) [Use Raycasting to recalculate distance and prevent getting stuck]
Helper Dimention (the same one gifted from SCP-22415)
Malfuncion (Same effects as Brodamide, breaks nearby electronics)
Door Fault (Break Doors)
Limits:
-TYPE-RED abilities don't last long, meaning there is a time limit that dictates how long they will have powers for, unlike TYPE-BLUEs where their time limit is their decay and eventual death.
-With every ability used reduces the time limit, over-using abilities makes you loose them sooner.
-Some jobs will be blacklisted from being TYPE-REDs such as all jobs who are already Reality Benders (Thaumatologists, and both TYPE-BLUEs), SCPs, CL1 Jobs, all of the genaric site staff (aka Janitors, Tech Experts, Chefs, etc.), D-Class (They already have TYPE-BLUE), and if needed, GOIs (for example, bad Idea to have a TYPE-RED Civilian). This list can be expanded if other jobs are more problematic.
Additional Flairs:
-Colored vision paired with flavor text that makes it clear that they been turned into a TYPE-RED.
-Same styled Count-down seen when playing as TYPE-BLUE.
-Visual hint of the TYPE-RED weapon slot location (to tell them what exactly happened)
-Kant Counters or any form of Hume measuring insturment would read unregular humes (similar that of SCP-914 Disguises) [This could be excluded as this could cause some major issues]
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
After looking into the resolved suggestions, I didn't see anything mentioning a TYPE-RED. So I assume this has not been done before.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
1. Allows variety to gameplay and RP, especually if the stars align where it would be useful to be a TYPE-RED. For example, getting stuck behind a door above clearence, getting chased by GOI/SCPs/D-Class, helping with Hume Fields, and assisting people in an escape.
2. Help fills the empty gap left by the existance of TYPE-BLUEs and TYPE-GREENs. If TYPE-BLUE is defined as Medium Level Reality Benders and TYPE-GREEN are High Level Reality Benders (Ignoring TYPE-BLACK)... Then a TYPE-RED Should exist both in-lore and Gameplay oppertunity.
3. Gives new players a soft introduction to reality bender gameplay in a more safe envirement if they get lucky.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
1. Due to being labeled as a rarity and not lasting for long, it wouldn't make a dent of existing RP and Gameplay Elements. (Mentioned before, Values can be adjusted if needed)
2. Minges are already a problem, if a minge was to be really lucky, they could threaten the experience of others. This is the main reason why I have a penalty on over-using abilities.
3. non-normal humes would throw off people trying to look for fake personnel, but this could be question followed by a test. [Again, this could be excluded]
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe that this could be an interesting random event that adds variety to most Foundation staff with RP oppertunities and Gameplay alteration, as well as fills the missing link of the pattern already provided with the naming scheme. Leaving them rare to encounter also means that SCP-22415's usefulness unaltered, as well as to not touch the existing RP ecosystem too much. I believe that with enough playtesting and application, it could be an interesting inclusion to the server.
