Character name(s): Godfrey Kagen
Civilian name: Broda
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
UK Server
Do you have a mic?:
I have been in many roles during my 4 years on SCP RP UK and was the first UK player to achieve both O5-1 and Ethics Committee Chairman during their tenures. I’d like to believe this achievement was due to my continuous enjoyment of roleplay scenarios and helping other players develop their stories alongside my own whilst providing a more matured approach. I've previously had experience as Director of Internal Security and Internal Affairs, where I was placed in to revive the Department due to failings across the board. During this time I dropped all the activity requirements and hour logging , only to be left with an RP Tracker for those who wanted to actually contribute to the department. This worked VERY well and ended up for weeks with Internal Security being capped out on all slots due to the fun and engaging activities I gave to the players within ISD at the time.
As of late, I've been roleplaying a calmer, more engaging character who prioritizes rehabilitation and learning over immediate harsh punishments. I've revived my old strategy of pending further investigations and will soon be exploring the idea of POI Files on people of interest to the Internal Security Department to mimic what I gave Omega-1 during my time as Chairman. This POI system is effective and can keep people engaged with ISD for a good length of time following repeated FLC violations, eventually leading into a climatic RP scenario via tribunal or FCOM disappearing that individual.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
- It is very simple to become an effective ISD Inspector. Be available to those within the department for help, training and creation of RP scenarios whether they are big or small. CL4 is such a varied experience and ISD Inspector places you in the position of a teacher to some extent or depending on your own experience, it can become a position of continued learning.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?:
- A lot. A document quality in my opinion is in the effectiveness of getting the main points across with the least amount of writing. Players out there will love to write a bajillion pages of waffle and lose the interest of 99% of the player base on page 2. A good document needs to get the job done in a stylistic and short form manner to ensure people actually read it. If you want to go overboard with something, then by all means go for it. Just don't expect others to read it.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
- The main responsibilities of an ISD Inspector are varied. For example, ISD Inspectors are expected to host trainings for newcomer ISD players and become the first point of call for any issues that may arise within the department. An ISD Inspector is also expected to create small scale RP scenarios, scold/retrain Agents who are causing issues, act as front line leadership for the department and most importantly uphold the professional image of Internal Security throughout 65. ISD Inspectors
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
- I've answered this already (Why is this a question???)
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:

- I’ve been thoroughly enjoying myself recently with Internal Security RP and having done a lot with and for ISD in the past, I'd like to jump into a comfortable CL4 Jr role to help out where possible due to the ongoing issues. Internal Security has been one of the most enjoyable experiences on the server for me over the past 4 years as it enabled me to interact and meet some wonderful people who I’ve maintained IC and OOC relationships with over the years. Internal Security is a department that many overlook due to the stresses of ‘arresting’ other players and their occasional negative backlash reactions, I aim to continuously disarm this narrative and tackle problems on a CL4 level. Finally, ISD is my bread and butter. Whilst I do love Ethics centric roleplay, Internal Security gives me the ability to be social in an RP setting and enables some very fun interactions with other players.
