Make Cartographer be able escort themself

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Allows Cartographer to escort themselves while doing a Test/Research Unless it is required to have one

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I do not believe so

Possible Positives of the suggestion:
It allows more people to get escorts instead of waiting in dblock for one

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Would not be able to get any help from while doing the research/Sampling

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Half the foundation is getting it confused to where a cartographer can escort and cannot escort themselves and I feel like they should be able to due to them being a combative and being able to escort, If a Researcher and a combative We're in a room where the dclass had a gun If the Researcher does not have a weapon permit on them They are not allowed to use a gun so there would only be one person in that room that could defend themselves and the researcher.

I get where you're getting at but researchers aren't supposed to have guns unless they're an executive or higher, So what's the Different if you have 2 people but only 1 has a gun?

2. Thaumaturgy no matter how people use it in a video game would be heavily restricted unless under the most dire circumstances or under authorisation. The Foundation wouldn't risk losing personnel of anomalous capability by removing their designated security guard.

This suggestion makes no sense and is simply a tool to avoid the gameplay loop of having to wait as well as opening the floor to abuse of this by thaums releasing D class.

I see literally no positive to this other than convenience to the thaumatologist at the expense of everyone else.

It is an ingame issue, but not necessarily one that can be solved from within entirely! I personally believe that there should be more down- than uptime with attacks and whatnot, which is most definitely not the case right now. Things are always hectic, one fire to be put out before the next.

People would appreciate and enjoy testing way more if that was not the case. Until then only bandaid fixes within roleplay! But cutting department ties, the thing that makes the gameplay loop so strong in the first place probably ain't it. (So no support!)

Some roles allow you to not have a security guard and still be able to pick up D classes so why is it so much different for Us to be able to have no secured guard and work combative, And the only reason I'm suggesting this is because sometimes D block is not well Reinforced enough to where we cannot have D classes to research/sample on Which stops us Researchers from Doing our job.

yes, but this is an issue that needs to be brought up in an in-character manner. You need to speak to in-character leadership, not the server leadership about this.
