What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

This suggestion changes the fact of how a car, from a civilian even, can kill a whole suit just by being run over. I don't think that it's reasonable that a black suit with a whole shield can be one-shot from a Fida on the surface.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

I don't think anything has been suggested before; I took a quick check beforehand and did not see anything about it.

Possible Positives of the Suggestion (At Least 2):

GOC doesn't have to constantly worry about getting run over on the surface and losing the suit just for COs to get in trouble for letting the suit get lost.

Suits cost warfunds, calling in suits constantly losing warfunds for the suit being killed over stupid reason.

Possible Negatives of the Suggestion:

I honestly think there are no negatives to this suggestion. It's a benefit for GOC, and I don't think it matters to any other faction on the surface.

Based on the positives and negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

This suggestion should be accepted because, due to suits being a big part of GOC and how they respond to stuff on the surface, losing suits is a big disbenefit for GOC. Is this is possible, I think it would be most appreciated by GOC personnel. (Or atleast me!)

just dont uh get hit by the car or something,,,, they arent hard to dodge

or just make a sit if a civi does it and get refund
(and cos getting in trouble for losing a suit is stupid lol)

but +support cause ion know
I understand what you mean, its just it could really happen at any time. For example, your tabbed out or a civilian is speeding at you its kinda hard to dodge. Also, just in roleplay wise I feel like a shield that has tons of heavy armor + shield shouldn't be killed by a small car.

You realise the black suit is essentially just a bunch of tech and metal over your soft human body?

Why do you think people die in car accidents? They don't die from getting impaled or crushed, they usually die from the impact, from the sudden acce/deceleration.

From the SCP wiki:
  • A form-fitting ballistic-fiber undergarment worn next to the skin, made of +1 Generation nanofiber, rated to stop handgun rounds with standard powder load at point blank range.
  • +1 Generation nanofiber threads integrated into key points in outergarments to provide additional protection. Combined with undergarment, must be rated to stop rifle rounds with standard powder load at a distance of twenty meters.
  • Micronized communications gear located in the collar and cuffs of the garment, or integrated into jewelry.
  • Augmented Reality system and projector integrated into eyewear or disguised as a cosmetic accessory.
  • Personal Computing Device (PCD) integrated into a cellular phone, implanted as a cybernetic enhancement, or disguised as footwear, with satellite connection to GOC data network.
  • Emergency toolkits and weapons, miniaturized and disguised as necessary, are provided by Quartermaster's Division for specific missions upon request.
Which of these suggest it would be able to survive a car running into you at 60 km/h? The greatest durability feat of the black suit armor is stopping a rifle round at 20 meters, which (when using a 7.62mm NATO round) has about 3600 Joules of energy.
The Fida Milano ingame is based off of a Fiat Punto, which has a curb weight of ~1030kg. Moving at 60 km/h, it would have a kinetic energy of 143055 Joules. This is ~40 times more energy than a rifle round.

You got run over by a Fida Milano and got chewed out by your CO's. Just don't get run over. Not hard to dodge cars, you can even just crouch jump when they're close enough.
