What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
The Rule edition adds that if roleplay is already broken (Fail Rp, Fear rp being broken, ETC) that Mixing does not apply if the member says (You have guns on you, you are under fear rp) If someone is avoiding fear rp the roleplay scenario is already interrupted. Players should not be punished for trying to get roleplay back on track in the fastest way possible

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't believe so.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Easier on players
- Removes a part of the rule that makes it stupid. The rule, in general, I can sort of get due to people mixing IC and ooc, such as topics, information, ETC, but at some moments it literally feels like it exists just as an unnecessary rule

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- People could try and loophole it. Would need to define when roleplay is broken

Based on the Positives Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Overall, it brings more order to the chaos and makes it more player-friendly. I will include a clip to show you how ridiculous this rule sounds in certain situations

I don’t see why you can’t mix when the RP is already broken. As if i were to go in /looc and say “you have guns on you stop breaking fear rp” it’s much more time consuming than saying it in voice chat.

Also, when you need to explain complex or longer things it gets annoying to use /looc
 
+support hilarious ass clip lmfao, and although i understand the rule is there for a reason, it's taken out of proportions in many scenarios

its absurd how, if you try to explain to a cadet he can't shoot an ISD agent for looking like him because using the names above people's heads is metagaming, suddenly you get warned for mixing because "you were supposed to request you and the cadet be brought up with God" just to say "you can't use the names on top of people's heads" lmao, or use LOOC when the cadet doesn't even know how to use chat.

in many situations its not "breaking rp further", its simply explaining the rules without further causing an RP disruption because "the only place you can break RP is in a sit room or in (L)OOC". i dont really know how this would get solved without people abusing it though so likely nothing will be done.

You get people that don't understand the rules doing this already when there's no actual rule breaks going on. Just let staff deal with it.

If someone breaks fearRP, you can already stop this IC by just shooting them. That is a reasonable IC reaction. You are allowed to do that. There is no need to allow mixing when you can just shoot them and then call staff.
 
If this were to change people would utilise it instantly - you'd have people 1 second into FearRP mixing and screaming about it.

You would also have people wrongly judging situations. People don't know everything, maybe the person you're trying to FearRP is a reality bender so can't be, maybe the person you think RDM'd had a valid reason, etc - during the instant moment it is not always obvious that a rule has been broken without further checks.

If someone is avoiding FearRP, one of the easiest ways to get it back on track is to shoot them - then you can call a staff ticket afterwards - there is about a 95% chance that shouting "You're breaking FearRP" will have no effect, most people doing it just don't care.

More directly concerning to myself would be that players will start dictating themselves when and if another player has violated one of the rules, which will cause further RP scenarios to very quickly become muddled.

If roleplay is already broken you can't really break it further. Voiding fear rp or doing fail rp just ruins it instantly. No real way to "Preserve roleplay" after it's broken. All it does is annoy people

While I get that, its why you would specify that if rp is already broken before mixing doesn't apply. So the situation if people wanted to fear rp they should say you have a gun on you don't move; but if the person keeps moving the roleplay is kind of just already messed up and they will likely just kill the person or watch as they cannot do anything waiting for staff and the entire scenario likely already ruined. It's a specification under the rule, not the removal of it.
 
As stated in rule 2.13:

2.13 Staff Pausing RP - Only staff members may "Pause RP." If a rule break has occurred, you must continue the scenario within roleplay, unless a staff member has directed otherwise. Failing to do so is classified as "Breaking Character."

Removing this rule, or modifying it to allow players to themselves dictate when rules can be broken based on their understanding of the rules, would be antithetical to the server's status as a serious RP server, and would most definitely cause more harm than good. When someone is breaking rules, effort should be made to continue the scenario within RP and staff should be called, instead of devolving to also breaking the rules yourself.
 
Or.... jsut use in RP words, stay in character, its not that hard to say "I will shoot you if you do not comply I have you under gunpoint", and if they ignore that, dome them, put a report in to staff and then your fine, theres 0 reason players need to run around reciting the rules, staff exist to enforce the server rules for a reason, going "YOUR UNDER FEEWAAARP RPPP AUUUUGHH" just is awful and i wont allow it
