What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion would change how SCPXP is gained fundamentally. My proposal is that x amount of Research XP, say ~15% should be converted into SCPXP. It makes zero sense that a cadet shooting at a funny looking statue gains more SCPXP than Researchers who directly work with them.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
If I remember correctly this system was in use before, it simply makes sense. Even adding a lower conversion such as 5 to 8% would be fair.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
> It allows more people to unlock SCPs they find interesting by researching them instead of having to sit in a cell for hours with no tests, samplings, or breaches.
>It boosts Research activity by giving researchers a reason to interact with SCPs outside of spam sampling to make money, making the overall gameplay loop more engaging.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
> TAs always, there is a chance that some people may try to spam credits to farm SCPXP, even with a low conversion.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
It should be accepted because the current SCPXP grind is by far the most painful on the server. Most SCPs spend hours sitting in a cell and gain nothing unless breached or interacted with. Linking SCPXP to Research XP provides a fair and engaging branch to the current progression system, reduces reliance on boring grinding, encourages more researcher involvement, and would increase the number of tests completed.
