Why are you applying for the Chief Of Security?
I find D-block to be an amazing place. The community is one of the best I’ve been apart of and I desire to build up the GENSEC community even more. I love helping newer players also. Due to most people who are new to site sign up to be cadets initially, a lot of lesser experienced personnel need assistance and that is why I wish to be the Chief Of Security Another reason is the image I have for the future of GSD. The Ex-Chief, Marrio Tazzul, created a powerful image and future for GSD and Ex-chief Tim Drake only fortified this powerful image and future, and I wish to uphold this as Chief to the best of my ability as they have done too. GSD has very little opportunities to be apart of the events that take place on-site. I want to change this, I want Gensec to be just as important in these events as anybody else.
Furthermore, my expansion from Captain to Chief will allow me more opportunities to expand the reputation, competency and future. I hope to massively improve inter-departmental relations with departments where it is clearly sour, for example ISD. Many members of GSD are not very friendly with other departments in high stress situations, and I wish to change this with stricter punishments for offenders, rewards for co-operative and friendly GSD and general co-operation across the board.
I also believe I have fantastic ideas for the future of GSD, mainly multiple operations and ways to properly organise GSD on ways of competency and professionalism. I believe instead of strictly punishing minor mistakes, we should give many more reward incentives to encourage people
What makes you suitable for the Chief Of Security?:
I have been in the position of Security Captain for a while now, roughly 4 months of experience as Captain, so I know many of the Captains, Sergeants and Response Units amongst D-block. I believe I have a decent reputation within GENSEC and this is why I’d to try and lead GENSEC to a better position. The additional leadership requirements of Chief is much more demanding than captain, but I truly believe I can confidently match this leadership requirement. Additionally, I love helping newer personnel, which mostly consist of cadets. Many are unsure about what their job is, how to do their job and how to maximise the efficiency of their job.
Moreover, I have a lot of experience in GSD, as I've been in GSD for a year and have had my Sergeant whitelist for 11 months at this point. This level of experience means I can easily manage GSD and perform even complex GSD procedures with ease. Finally, I have a positive relationship with all the GSD Captains and most of the Sergeants, so I believe leading them will be incredibly easy for me.
I also heavily believe I'd be a very skilled and reliable leader, as I am both very friendly with other members of GSD as well as willing to teach whenever someone seeks teaching. I have proven in the past to be excellent in dealing with high stress situations and crushing them with ease. I also have a very friendly relationship with most if not all captains.
I also believe I would be able to build up a legacy as CoS if I were to get accepted for the role. I've been captain twice and have been in GSD consistently for a full year. I haven't had any major controversial incidents that might question my competency as CoS. I've always had the idea that GSD need to work closely with other departments to perform at their most effective, as one department can't ensure the site's safety on their own.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief Of Security in RP?:
The responsibilities are as followed:
- Watching over the entire Department of Security
- Ensuring GENSEC are following the Chain Of Command, the Chief Of Security and maintain their professionalism
- Hosting weekly meetings for GENSEC seniors (CPT+)
- Looking over Security Department documents and ensuring they stay up to date
- Working closely with other department leaders should they make reports about GENSEC conduct or wish to discuss other matters
- Be a mentor to members of the Security Department
-Dealing with inter-departmental problems
-Looking over captain applications and either accepting or denying them. As well as performing interviews on accepted applicants>
-Making sure senior members of GSD are behaving professionally and representing the department well.
-Maintaining and organising the GSD roster and issuing strikes when required.
-Communicating with Site Administrating and FCOM to ensure departments are running adequately.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
