Rule Suggestion Type Green rule

Rule suggestions will be reviewed by Superadmins, this may take longer than standard content suggestions.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Either adds the rule of "Type Greens are not permitted to use anything other than materialize while contained within their containment chamber" in SCP specific rules or removes it as an invisible SL ruling, see image 1787092190197.png

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?: Couldnt find using search function

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2): A rule that dictates the gameplay loop of Type Green outside of breaches is actually listed instead of as an invisible ruling, less people breaking rules!

Possible Negatives of the suggestion: Rule bloat, somebody having to type it in the rules

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted: I believe this should be accepted because the ruling is a really big deal for the research gameplay loop of Type Greens, and it should be listed if it is a ruling! I will also accept that the ruling itself gets outright removed because having most of your abilities locked behind in all research cases because "wow you have a reality anchor in your cell" makes pretty much every test outright boring!

How is destabilize not an RP ability ESPESCIALLY whilst in CC? If the argument is that the containment chamber blocks abilities then why is materialize allowed?

-support, I would rather have that ruling removed entirely. How is destabilize not an RP ability ESPESCIALLY whilst in CC? If the argument is that the containment chamber blocks abilities then why is materialize allowed?

Invisible staff ruling basically mean "Hey I don't like what your doing so I'm gonna say it's an invincible staff ruling even though we have never discussed it"
Down with invisible staff rulings.

Honestly this is just TG containment being poorly implemented. There should be a toggle or something to control how much access to their powers TGs have while contained. This shouldn't be something that needs rulings, it should just be how it works.
While it would make sense to have a switch or button to enable the scranton inside the CC, i feel this would once again be permanently enabled... which makes sense in lore, you dont want them using their powers.

Buuut makes no sense in game, another thing to make the SCP player an afk-fest until breach happens, you could not even refuse to be sampled (as sometimes i do when i join TG if they don't have proper manners or ask nicely) because you can't even defend yourself

And lets not forget that reality benders while a scranton is near get a nice sound filter which makes you interacting with others really difficult since you can barely hear them

I would remove that rule completely, and any other invisible ruling which is just an excuse for the staff to do what he wants

Make it so there's a control panel outside each TG chamber with a keypad controlled option to suppress the TG fully for a few minutes, with a cooldown. That way you can do tests and deal with breach attempts but they're not just stuck with nothing to do most of the time. Make it so the suppression only affects external abilities, e.g. not inversion and the like, and also doesn't cause the audio and visual effects.
