Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?

- After recently returning to the server I have thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the roleplay available to the Internal Security Department; and I wish to return to a Clearance Level 4, leadership role. Doing so will allow me to lend my experience to the development and maintenance of the department, as well open up new avenues of roleplay opportunities for myself and other Agents, Operatives and Investigators. I've described in previous applications that ISD is wholly my favorite department to be involved with, due to the unmatched versatility roles within said department offer, as well as my personal preference towards roleplay involving the Ethics Committee, law, and order within the SCP Foundation.

After having returned to the server during the last month, I have engaged with many of the players in ISD, and was given the role of Investigator swiftly. I have engaged with the role as much as possible, and proactively sought opportunities for enjoyable roleplay interactions. I hope that, given the opportunity to become an Inspector, I will be able to lend myself to leadership within the department and leverage my extensive experience to improve the RP experience for other players.

What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector | Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:

- As reflected in my record of previously held whitelists, I've a plethora of experience across the board on the server. I've held both Ethics Chairman and O5-1; roles of which are considered to be the absolute peak of responsibility and influence over the server and it's roleplay health. I have a firm belief that my unique ability to improvise, and 'pull RP out of thin air' have supported me throughout my various tenures. impromptu, authentic roleplay is paramount to the server's health, and the development of storylines or prolonged interactions.

My skill at roleplay, as it stands, is well-recognised. Earning me the ability to hold consecutive Sr. CL5 positions, and create diverse scenarios from collaboration with the GM Team. I've created and played multiple compelling, unique characters; Such as Takeshi Nakamura, 'The Morning', O5-1 'The King in Yellow' / 'The Custodian' / 'The Conciliator', Ethics Member Remmy Marshall, various other Ethics Members and of course, Assistant Michael Graner. I believe my creative characters, above all, show my ability to routinely innovate.

I am seasoned in RP creation involving the Internal Security Department; I will not attempt to list specific examples here as they may now be severely dated. However, I am well versed in Tribunals, as a member of the Jury, a prosecutor, Judge or Defense Counsel. I have previously conducted investigations and large-scale operations as Director, and I've been known to create exemplary formats in-game and in Google Docs for warrants, reports, etc, which are critical to the upholding of RP standards.

Overall, I think the most resounding reason for which I believe I am suitable for this position, is my knowledge and understanding of Wiki and Server lore; Though, the former deviates depending on hub, tales, etc. I understand, firmly, what the Internal Security Department should be doing in RP. And this, alongside my experience as the former Department Director, qualifies me to speak as an expert on matters involving their RP.

In terms of leadership, I have consistently held key leadership positions throughout my time on the server, and been recognised as a consistent contributor to the server's health, as well as to the quality of roleplay. I'm naturally inclined towards leadership roles, and significant experience having lead the Internal Security Department, the Ethics Committee, and O5. My mannerisms and approach to handling matters both in and out-of-character make me an ideal individual to hold this role.

I have reused writing from previous applications, here, as I feel it entirely relevant.

What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:

- In my eyes, a good Inspector is someone who firmly understands the out-of-character impact that ISD has on the server, and recognises why it is so utterly crucial that the players in the department conduct themselves to the highest degree. In roleplay, ISD can either be the catalyst for fun, unique, dynamic and unforgettable experiences, when the investigation, arrest, or Tribunal process does not feel like a bore; or, they can be a detriment to genuine RP with needless intervention. An ideal inspector would recognise the difference between the two, and know how to approach players in such a way that they do not feel like you are being overbearing, or that you are attempting to ruin their experience.

The rest, I believe, follow the quality above. Good knowledge of the principals of the SCP Foundation, a good perspective on ISDs role in the continued success of the organisation, and a generally reasonable demeanor.

How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?

I have written countless documents to the benefit of the server; in fact, I routinely see my document templates still used in game, today. To name examples, I'll go with what is new or actively being worked on, to highlight what I've been working on recently.

Firstly, I have been working on a proposal for Site Command and ISD Leadership. I've found in my last few weeks of playtime that an issue I highlighted as O5-1 is still majorly prevalent; that is, that site policies can often be hard to find, or niche, or generally inaccessible in a roleplay setting. As such, I've been writing a large, consolidated document which serves as an in-character explanation of ALL of the duties of ISD, their powers, restrictions, etc. The intention behind this is that for instance, in a Tribunal, you would no longer have to ALT + TAB, CTRL + F in Discord "Site Policies UK" to discover what is written within. Instead, an in-character document would be available to all personnel which clearly contains the information. Making referencing, interpreting and understanding ISD far easier.

Additionally, I am in the process of creating a revised Tribunal Request system, which I hope will be of benefit to all players. I am creating a form system which will automatically create documentation for a Tribunal, making the often tiresome OOC aspect of Tribunals far easier. It would be preferable if the entire matter could be handled in character, but OOC aspects are useful for deciding a time, propagating information about the Tribunal, etc.

I would also note items such as the FLC rework, which occured under my tenure as ECC; various acts, orders, etc., which continue to be relevant to the server today.

Lastly, a good document, in my eyes, does not have to be "simple". I honestly think that, if a long document seems threating to someone, that they need to challenge themsevles to read, understand, and interpret it. We should always be striving to raise the level at which we're roleplaying, and a good document should absolutely be a "challenge" to the reader. Otherwise, good grammar, formatting, and writing are the natural three components of a good document.

What are the responsibilities of an Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
-
The DoISDs should delegate much of ISD's day-to-day management to the Inspectors and Commissioners in their department, which means that Inspectors are generally the junior leadership individuals responsible for executing the Director's vision for the department, and for handling any routine matters which occur, such as:

- Assisting agents with the detainment or arrest of high-clearance personnel whom have violated the FLC.
- Acting as a point of escalation for Judicial matters.
- Assigning agents to specific tasks, operations, etc., or generally leading the deparmtent in RP.

In terms of OOC responsibilities, Inspectors of course have a say in new applicants, and should generally be engaged in the department's health. As well as the miscellaneous roles of a CL4 card holder, like authorising AA in applicable circumstances, closing blast doors, etc.

Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:

I have a specific storyline in mind, which is a continuation of some RP I've conducted previously and will involve Mr. Bennett. I don't want to give the game away, but you can read a little bit about it in my previous DoISD application which is here.

In all honesty, I don't think you've been ISD Investigator long enough. You did show me the FND-1192 a bit ago when we last chatted, but I believe you should give it a bit longer before attempting to go for inspector : p considering there is a lot of drama around you in the community and your previous FCOM tenure.

Good luck regardless :)

1788705695233.pngI have waited the two week period before application as the departmental standard; there is no drama centering around my tenure as FCOM, but that would not and should not impact on this application.

Thank you for your verdict.

Hey man if you’re going to try and debunk people’s points on an app, you should tell the truth

there is no drama centering around my tenure as FCOM

Because this absolutely untrue.

I’m not interested in debating you further I’m just gonna say -Support.

Please look inwards, reflect on who you are as an individual, and change for the better

My mannerisms and approach to handling matters both in and out-of-character make me an ideal individual to hold this role.
Are you referring to the part where you;

A) Encouraged a then active moderator to shittalk a member of the community just cause you didn't like them
B) Said you were gonna try again for ECC when you got denied just to try and make her life miserable
C) Were blatantly transphobic while still within the community and doubled down since returning
D) Continuously lied about things that happened during your tenure as FCOM to paint a narrative
E) Cried to Requis when everyone -supported you on your last ECC app and made it obvious you relied on staff friends to get anything done
F) Threw a temper tantrum at me on the forums because of a -support that didn't actually even mention the real reason why because I didn't want to start drama with you
G) Made extremely weird remarks about a still current female player and made comments about her appearance just because she did something you didn't like

or

H) All of the above?

-Support, no chance I'll be responding to you because it's just going to be a long winded whinging argument like always when literally everything I've listed has screenshot proof (y)

you are transphobic and are yet to apologise for that, simply the fact that you "went too far" with the comment you made

+/-support

good rp though

The very notion that I should "apologise" for my world view is contradictory to the British values and equality law in the UK, and I find it especially troubling that you believe your perspective on the world to be superlative to all others. Where I have been inflammatory about expression of my personal thoughts and feelings, I have gone out of my way to apologise. The "comments" you reference occurred well over a year ago, and you (as well as the sect of former players you represent) consistently reference this, regardless.

It is blatantly clear to me that this is not about the server or about my application at all, and therefore strictly irrelevant. I will defer to the platform team to remove comments which are unnecessary to the verdicts left.

Do I have a special channel in your discord server? Or has this come direct from the Remstein files? The fact that you no longer play the server in any fashion and actively maintain infraction lists of players is both astoundingly pathetic, and a reflection of your agenda. I'm not going to delve to that level of immaturity, and reference any of the things you and Claire have done, for instance.

Hi Remmy!

Just a couple of things I want to ask for some expansion on, I'm personally not a huge fan of mentioning projects that were previously done on different characters and different positions to justify what you have done for the server, I have read what you have proposed and you have some ideas but do you have anything to show for what you have done? Its all well and good having a plan and saying what you are going to do but you need to have something to show for it.

Could you also for transparency post a screenshot of your VTime?

This implies that your world view is Transphobic and that you see nothing wrong with that, kind of a weird flex tbh but okay.

Hiya, I'm not 100% certain on what you mean by the first part; the projects I've listed are actively in work, I'm happy to show you drafts if you'd like to see those. Or if you're looking for something historic, I can post that, too.

My VTime is below.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to remind everyone that this is an application for a roleplay job. Whilst I appreciate that everyone has their own opinions and world views (which you are entitled to) can we please try and assess the applicant based on their application contents, how their in-game behaviour and the way they handle their responsibilities outside of the game will impact their ability to fulfil this role?

Thank you.
