What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This adds a role that a higher up and might begin to get the foundation for techs to have a proper department, because as of right now Techs have no higher ups and it would be nice to see this branch out into specialized Techs.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I heard that this was tried before and I want to see it tried again since most techs have no reason to stay as just techs and higher roles would encourage techs to take their jobs semi seriously.
Possible Positives of the suggestion:
Techs would be less likely to screw around in higher up positions because they would risk losing it so techs would become semi serious at thier jobs. With the document and maps I am making for techs it is making it easier to do our jobs and allow Techs to be seen as useful rather than a group that just screws about. Having higher ups means if those below them screw about too much the heads can give out job bans to those messing about and just ruining everyone's experience.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Higher level techs would likely has higher CL keycards to acompany them, if they were given anything above CL3 they would likely be able to access the whole site so they cannot have too much CL otherwise this could lead to further minging.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This could pave the way to more well equiped Techs and those who acutally do their jobs to be rewarded for their efforts, this seemed like an easy suggestion due to how every other department has their own chain of command. It would benefit everyone on site to have techs than can solve breaker box issues quickly and make everyone's lives easier because when the keycard scanners go down if you have well trained techs that know their way around they can fix that as fast as possible and free up MTF to not have to hack it to fix it.
