Eu5 is releasing soon( 2 years) and eu4 requires like 150 dlcs in order to actually be playable
Go with Hoi4 since there's a lot of mods you can use that can totally overhaul the entire game so you don't have to get DLCs

Agreed with thato here, Hoi4 is right now the better game, also instead of spending like 200 bucks on DLC's just buy the supsription, its like 15 bucks for 3 months
