Why are you applying for the Director of Medicine?

I am applying for the role of medical director mainly because I wish to progress more withinin the medical department, I ever since joining the server have pretty much commited my whole time to the medical department and its all I really want to do. I enjoy medical roleplay more than anything and I do belive I am good at it and that people have positive experiences when interacting with myself. I have been holding my consultant position now for a month and I know that perhaps isnt a long time however, I feel with the amount of time I have put in and the passion I do have for this department it does make me qualified and makes sense for me wanting this position.
There has also been a vacancy in the DoM position now for quite a while and so alot of the department work has just been left on our current DoM Zoey and I want to do more to try and help her, I try my best as a consultant to always be there for her and help out in every way that I can but I feel as a Director by her side we could lead medical department in a good way and make it the best we possibly can.
What makes you suitable for Director of Medicine?:

I feel I am suitable for this job despite perhaps my lack of experience by the fact I am very professional, Like mentioned above I like to think all people who have interacted with me have had positve interactions and have seen the quality of roleplay I am capable of. I have done alot of work with other departments and have displayed good skills that are key for a director such as; Good documentation skills, Initiative, Creativity, Leadership and Diplomacy.
I think myself and Zoey have a fairly good relationship and I can imagine us being a good pair for leading the medical department, Zoey obviously has alot more experience than me and would be a good mentor but I think I can bring fresh ideas and new perspective to her leadership and help overal improve the medical department. I myself am a big fan of doing projects and encouragging cross department tests or interactions as I belive its fun for everyone and it helps us get closer and trust each other more, I personally have been involved in a couple of examples which have been alot of fun for me and I think everyone involved.
What are the responsibilities of the Director of Medicine in RP?:
- The DoM is responsibile for overseeing the sites medical department, They are responsible for delegating work out to lower ranks while also still maintaining some work themselves. They are responsible for mentoring new Consultants within the department aswell as being there to help newer members of the department. A DoM is a guide to all within the department and is someone who should lead by example. The DoM is also responsible for the whole of medbay ensuring it is running smoothly and is up to the standard that is expected. DoM's tend to be who more senior personel of site 65 turn to when in need of more than just some healing as they are a high ranking member themselves so they are responsible for their care and ensuring they are taken care of, aswell as just making sure everyone is getting the level of care they need. A DoM needs to make sure all documentation is up to date and relevant and filed in the correct place.
Please give some lore about your Director of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Jake James was born in REDACTED, Ireland. Jake was always facinated with medicine, His father and Mother had both been in the medical field and had commited their lives to the field, Jake wished to follow in their footsteps and make his family proud. He studied medicine in Dublin before moving on to do a doctorate in Psychology. After graduating Jake moved to Canada and begining his life of work. Jake worked in a hospital for 5 years before being recruited into the foundation in the medical department, Starting off as a doctor he rose Sr. Doctor before starting his Consultancy. While being a Consultant Jake worked with Project Eye Examination, while on this projected he done a number of eye examinations on E-11 and SOP groups. Jake also started Project Cognition which was aimed at assessing the affects of repeated head injury on site personel and find out if there is any way of treating them, While this project has thusfar been not very effective its something he is continuing to work and strive through. Jake is always conducting psych evals on the site as it was his doctorate and something that he has had a lifelong passion for, He is hoping to do further research into Psychology with treatment methods, early intervention, diagnosing and documenting all with personel inside of site-65. He is hopeful to one day do alot more on understanding the psychology of D-Class as he has not interviewed many but those he has have been a "character" and wants to gain better insight to their psyche.
