What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Modifies the "Humes" attribute given to humans, typically after using 914 for a disguise.
The "Humes" Status affect should not trigger the "Humes" meter on Scramble Goggles.

How could this be done?
Create a new attribute that is applied to humans who should receive the "Humes" status, which would be a copycat of "Humes".
However these "914 Humes" should only show irregular "Humes" when checked with the Kant Checker and not the Scramble Goggles.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not to my knowledge.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Humans
with "914 Humes" can no longer be "Metagamed" with Scramble Goggles when they disguise with 914.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Coding time.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Based on the positive that 914 disguises would be much harder to metagame with this change, CI and D-class should be very happy with this change.
This also prevents players from accidentally "Metagaming" Disguised Humans.
Using "Hume" readings from Scramble Goggles against players that are disguised Humans is an unwritten rule! and falls under "general FailRP".
I was originally going to suggest adding that unwritten rule to the actual rulebook, but thought this would be better.

Yea, I've been confused about utilizing the humes on SCRAMBLERS. I mean for one thing they are there so they are supposed to be used, but people say there is a rule against it which is unwritten. Please at least write down the rule
Honestly. Every SL/SSL I've asked about it before said you can't use the Hume meter on scrambles so it should just be removed imo
?

That's the first I've heard of that - Unless this a US thing, on UK I've heard on multiple occasions that if you at least have a valid reason to be wearing them, all info you get from scrambles are valid and usable. I feel like this needs clarifying.

This has always been the case, staff can't just outlaw a server feature. As long as you've got reason to have them on, you can utilise them fully. I also can understand wanting to remove the meter from the HUD for them, but making Hume levels more complicated than they already are is 100% not the way to go. -Support.

The complication would not visually change anything for players, it would only be a coding thing.
To players it would look exactly the same as before with the only difference being that human player humes are only detected with the kant checker.

How about instead of this, you just remove the hume level in the scramble goggles instead, then no one can meta game and i assume it would be simple to do for devs
+support
Makes no sense for the goggles to have hume level if its only purpose was to protect the user from any Cognito hazard

I would like clarification on this in terms of meta-gaming, as I've absolutely heard both ways (on US server).

As it stands, I don't think anyone can be warned for "unwritten rules" and it hold up on the forums when it's appealed, so clarification on it would be beneficial.

That said, if it IS allowed: +Support, make people use kant counters

This would, however, either need an in-character explanation, or be yet another thing that cannot be explained IC despite being clearly a thing that exists and that can be seen IC.
