First of all, some of these suggestions are very minor, and I do not see many people having an issue with them, however some of these tweaks might be somewhat controversial, so feel free to agree/disagree with individual parts of this, but if you don't support something, please say why!
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion aims to collect many thoughts I have had about minor improvements to various scps.
1.
079 cooldown timer.
This mainly applies to 079's 20 minute breach cooldown, and to a lesser degree the computer hack cooldown. The simplest way I can see to do this is to have a small ui element with these two cool downs or at the very least the breach cooldown.
2.
Destabilize should (to a lesser degree) affect the permanent Scrantons in the type green chambers. The fact that with the click of a button you get a regular human in a containment chamber to sample is harmful to the danger that a reality bender should pose, and this felt like a rushed solution to me anyway, considering most of the issues that led to these being added in the first place were results of rule breaks (TGs killing dclass for no reason / shooting outside of CC).
3.
966 breaches should NOT break open the door to their containment chamber. They can walk through walls and are invisible, and considering they are already a very weak breach they do not need a blaring alarm (being their door opening and closing) proclaiming the need for NVGs.
4. -This one is less of a tweak and more of a full suggestion but I thought I would throw it in here.
On a very long cooldown (~10-15 minutes) SCP 079 should be able to hack into SCIPnet (using the clearance level of 079's level) and print a document. I've always thought it stupid that 079 isn't allowed to info reach, however I do understand that having 008 infobreach in dblock every time 079 breaches isn't healthy for the server. This seems like a more balanced way to still allow 079 to infobreach.
[If you have any other suggestions throw them down and I might put them in here if their good, also I will most likely add a few more as I think of them]
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I haven't seen any of these suggested before.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[Response here]
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Dev time for minor QOL in some cases
966 suggestion might be a bit of a nothing burger in the sense that E-11 sweep anyway and would likely see the box being red regardless, but it would slow them down slightly.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Due to the fact that most of these are just QOL and only serve to make gameplay and roleplay more enjoyable, as well as having fairly minor downsides, this suggestion should be accepted to improve the SCP experience.
TL;DR
079 QOL timers
Destabilize affects permanent scrantons
Quieter 966 breach
079 infobreach via printer
