What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds the ability to give/drop excess firearms gained from looting scrap piles in D-Block
Currently if you're looting scrap piles and you happen to pick up a pistol the game classifies it as a 'One Time Use Weapon' and prevents you from dropping it. I want that gone and I don't see much of a reason to have it in the first place

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Possibly? I feel like this is more of an oversight than any sort of content change

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
+Better DClass coordination as it allows the sharing of guns that one person doesn't need
+Less clutter in your inventory, switching to useful tools like cards and meds are easier
+Improves the DClass scrap cycle as one scout doesn't hog all the pistols

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
-Makes life just a little harder for Gensec to eliminate all gun-wielding DClass
-Possibility of a stockpile of weapons if Gensec don't realize a mountain in a Dclass' cell

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I don't see why Dclass shouldn't be able to share their weapons with other Dclass. It ain't glued to my fingers and pistols aren't the end of the world. Most of the time it's just a peashooter anyways so being able to give a 1911 to the guy next to me when I already have a Prokolot seems logical to me. I'm not sure if this is a deliberate choice given that there was once a time when you could drop crap pistols.

One issue I can see quickly from this, some dclass will get on super early, stockpile a shit ton of weapons, hide them, and then use them at a time with higher players
-support , no thanks
Maybe this is just a US Dblock issue but the dedication to get on early to coordinate such a thing seems like such a specific issue that rarely plays out in the dclass's favor, Especially if you wait until high server pop. Gensec can so easily call code 2 and raid if they are aware of such stockpile. Plus dclass can already do this with the scrap dealer, so I'm not sure if it's a big enough issue to warrant removing the ability to drop pistols, when at most hours of the day there's enough competition to where being able to drop them is more quality of life than anything. Either way I'll list this as another downside: being the possibilty of a stockpile

"One issue I see with this is D-Class will be able to spend a bunch of time grinding and working together to achieve their goal of escaping. I don't like when the bad guys win, so -SUPPORT!"

Like bro what even is this criticism, can we not all agree that it's fucking stupid that the guns you pick out of the trash are apparently covered in gorilla glue and you can't drop them to other D-class, often leading to one guy with like 5 pistols? I seriously don't think this will be detrimental to you winning the roleplay as gensec or whatever you have a hard on for

Me when I make a comment about the fact that this will probably be abused in a couple ways, including, as Marvin put it, through entity lag, and I get immediately blasted for "Having a hard on for GENSEC".
More ironic is the fact that my point had enough validity where the poster decided that it could be a potential negative, so I don't think I'm in too much of a wrong.
Man I love this community sometimes.
Anyhow, I will change my opinion, +/- support, through the fact that it would probably be useful in some scenarios and understandable, but in other examples not, eg, D-Class drops a weapon somewhere, dies, then goes to pick it up. This being an obvious NLR break but hard to actually see the person doing it. In future, try to not go straight into offending people for having an opinion that differs to yours. Thanks!

U didn't mention entity lag in the message I replied to, I see merit with that but TBH it's not exactly an issue, since 95% of the time a dropped weapon will either be picked up by another d class or despawn before a looney tunes stockpile of trash pistols can be generated big enough to impact server performance.

And like zinkleburg said, a "stockpile" that you're so concerned about can already be created (quite easily) by a d class grinder with a few thousand scrap saved up - a prokolot is like 200 scrap.

As far as NLR is concerned, uh, this already happens one way or another all the time. Not that I promote it or want more of it, but nothing will ever stop d class from getting low on health, dropping their scrap gun in a cell and switching jobs to reset. A rioting d block isn't exactly the pinnacle of roleplay on shrivel networks.

Agreed, most of the time you get the amount of scrap needed to buy a gun quicker than you find a gun in the scrap.
