Why are you applying for Security Captain?
For starters, I am applying for Captain to gain deeper look into the current state of GENSEC and what is being done to address certain issues. Over my time as an Officer and Sergeant on the server this past week or two, I’ve come to appreciate the improvements GENSEC has made as a department.
This application is also a way for me to prove my growth, as I am now a year older and more mature. When I first joined, GENSEC was at its peak—it was bliss. Like all things, it has degraded over time, but with refinement and effort, anything can be improved and restored. I view myself similarly: I can and will be better.
By becoming Captain, I aim to prove my growth and understand the behind-the-scenes challenges GENSEC faces.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?
I have eight months of experience as a Captain. During this time, I’ve led hundreds of sweeps, hosted numerous tryouts, and met countless people. I continuously strive to improve myself and refine my character. Improvement has always been my top priority.
I’ve always had a passion for GENSEC, which is why I’ve chosen to remain in the department rather than advancing through MTF roles. I also understand some of the challenges GENSEC faces, particularly the perception that it’s a transitional department or a “tutorial.” While this perception may hold some truth, it also leads to a lack of respect from the general player base.
One of my primary goals as Captain would be to establish GENSEC as a proper and respected department—not just a stepping stone for other roles.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?
- Enforcing rules and protocols
- Overseeing D-Block
- Managing documentation

- Hosting training sessions

Also, someone had the misconception that I was every Ace listed on the roster. Every time I am mentioned on the roster it specifically says Ace Linguini.
