What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
- Cancels current Civil Networks related development and projects, such as new SCPs, to work on this new system
- Dedicates time to working on a Pokemon esque Arcade Game to the D-Block, with its own coded Pokemon (Under Civil copyright and trademark)
- The Pokemon Game, which I'll call Civilmon, would have its own type system & Civilmon, with *more* than three starters.
- It'd have its own gyms, which could potentially be a new system for E-11 / O-1 / A-1 tryouts.
- Quality of life updates, such as nerfing 457 (Optional, takes away dev time)
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't know
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Higher morale for D-Block, and incentivizes D-Class to stop fighting
- Major server health improvement
- Civil Networks could potentially expand the US and UK servers into what I call a "Pokemon SCP RP Server," which would allow D-Class to catch their own Civilmon and use them in rebellion attempts. Of course, as this is a little unrealistic, I'd be okay if it was just changed to Civilmon SCP RP.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Dev time
- Overseer council would have to authorize a D-Block extermination when O-1 and A-1 need to try out.
- Potential copyright issues or lawsuits if fully accepted
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
The current route the UK and US SCP Servers are taking aren't exactly healthy, nor do they create positive server ecobiomes. With the way SCP works, I don't think a "Civilmonsters" arcade game with living monsters would be exactly out of the ordinary. While GENSEC might be mad D-Class now have access to Civilmonsters during riots, the potential for roleplay would allow for a higher probability at making Civil Networks SCP RP last for potentially decades to come.
Here's a description of SCP for those who are new:
The SCP Foundation[note 3] is a fictional organization featured in stories created by contributors on the SCP Wiki, a wiki-based collaborative writing project. Within the project's shared fictional universe, the SCP Foundation is a secret organization that is responsible for capturing, containing, and studying various paranormal, supernatural, and other mysterious phenomena (known as "anomalies" or "SCPs"[note 3]), while also keeping their existence hidden from the rest of society.
The collaborative writing project includes elements of many genres such as horror, science fiction, and urban fantasy. The majority of works on the SCP Wiki consist of thousands of SCP files: mock confidential scientific reports that document various SCPs and associated containment procedures. The website also contains "Foundation Tales", short stories featuring various characters and settings in the SCP universe. The wiki's literary works have been praised for their ability to convey horror through a quasi-scientific and academic writing style, as well as for their high standards of quality.
That's all for now. Peace out.
