What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
I recommend, like we have with a lot of other actions in game, to add a pop up in chat showing people gagging or blindfolding a player similar to when you stripp their weapons and comms, etc..
TO CLARIFY I'm not saying to make it so you hold e to interact and gag/blindfold people keep it as it is already but just make it pop up in chat.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Probably super easy to add dev wise.
Will allow for people to see who is gagging and blindfolding in RP allowing people to identify who's done it in a large crowd which can be used for RP reason such as identifying someone misbehaving or attempting to aid an arrested person.
Allows people to see who is spamming gags and blindfolds that annoy everyone so you can deal with them.
Allows me to see when norton ungags our hostage in CI (moron)
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Literally none I can think of.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Because it is to my knowledge a 100% positive change that allows for a little bit of RP and to catch people who are being nuisances and spam gaging/blindfolding people.And so when someone in my team ungags a hostage like a numpty I can yell at them (this is totally not a targeted suggestion)
