What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion adds a mechanic where downed players have a random or set chance to stand back up after a certain amount of time. For example, '15% chance to stand up' could be displayed on the downed player's screen. If a player does stand back up, they would be left at a very low health and bleeding/fractions, so they seek immediate medical attention

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't think so.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
• Allows players that are downed and alone a chance to not die.
• Memorable 'clutch' moments
• Gives players more reason to not instantly give up after being downed
• Adds realism - In real life being 'downed' doesn't always mean death, factors like adrenaline or sheer determination can allow someone to get back up briefly to get medical attention

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
• Could be seen as unfair if the RNG is not balanced
• Could reduce teamwork/reliance on medics if RNG isn't balanced

Based on the Positives &Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If implemented with a balanced percentage, this would allow for rare comeback moments that enhance player experience while still keeping teamwork important.

15% is as stated above - pretty huge. Maybe have it be a thing where "adrenaline kicks in but the injuries are too grievous" where you can either make a last stand or seek medical attention in say the remaining 40 seconds you have conscious

cool and interesting mechanic, i dont see 15% as being problematic but i agree that something like 5-10% seems more reasonable.

Like 0.001% or similar
one in 100.000 is way too low, that would in practice happen to someone once a month maybe.

Too many times I've seen players from every faction continue to shoot into a body just to make sure the person is dead.

Also, am i the only one who is considering the logical things such as you know.. The bullets or whatever is being used is going to utterly devastate a body?

"bro i watched bodycam footage of cops magdumping people and they still get up"
Reminder that those rounds are 9mm and half of those people would be on drugs

Eitherway, With most armaments being rifles, shotguns and or smgs and the rare energy weapons and sniper rifles.. Your body and it's limbs will be utterly DEVASTATED ranging from arms getting utterly disabled alongside legs, your chest getting it's ribs broken and your breathing and all of your vital organs in extreme danger disallowing you to even get up even if it's adrenaline,

Simply put, You shouldn't be nor will getting back up unless tended to by proper medical people and or you're an immortal being like 076 or Samsara.

He only means when you're downed and still alive, NOT completely dead. there is a CHANCE because it can hit spots that will not paralyze you but only temporarily disable your movement.

Yes I know what they meant and I said what I said.
Then you should understand there is a percentage (15% or whatever) because you may get lucky (just like in real life) and the bullets can be absorbed by armour, hit non vital spots, disable limbs not related to walking, or just temporarily disable a person from getting up again. It is MORE REALISTIC to give a chance for the person to stand up. EX: only 3 stabs of a knife kills a GENSEC with FULL ARMOUR and there is a chance those stabs don't hit anywhere vital.

Suggestion Denied

Hello, @codynkn
Thanks for taking the time to make this suggestion.

The Content Team has decided to deny this suggestion for the following reasons:
  1. From a roleplay perspective, the core idea doesn't really hold up. You're downed for a specific reason in the first place, and adding a randomized chance for players to simply get back up on their own feels like too much of a stretch and breaks the logic of the situation.
  2. The proposed mechanics wouldn't be fair to most players. In a chaotic fight where four people are down, having two of them randomly pop back up through no effort or input from them or the rest of their team would feel extremely frustrating and punishing to everyone else involved.
Thanks for the suggestion though, we always appreciate the community thinking about ways to improve the experience.
