What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
I can bring several attributes and traits to benefit the Global Occult Coalition, many of which I have proven to have during my time in this server and in the roles I have previously and currently serve. Some of these skills including my ability to roleplay, which I have tried my best to always showcase and play a character who experienced different events in their life than I have. I think the G.O.C would appreciate this skill in particular. Other skills I have that could benefit the GOC are my management skills, ability to work well in a team, and work efficiently in any environment I'm in.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I want to join the Coalition because I believe it is a unique opportunity to expand my roleplay opportunities. I believe that the GOC provides a unique style of roleplay different from the rest of the server, offering themselves as a neutral third party with their own reasonable goals that they wish to achieve. I want to expand my character roster outside of the Foundation and give the GOC another try while simultaneously having fun with it and giving other an immersive and enjoyable experience as a GOC Soldier.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The Global Occult Coalition was founded after "The Seventh War", where the GOC was initially called the Allied Occult Initiative. After the war, the Allied Occult Initiative disbanded and formed the G.O.C out of many different occult organizations around the world who shared their same views. The G.O.C was formed to defend humanity from anomalous parathreats and destroy the paranormal, and restore normality to humanity and ensure its safety.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
PHYSICS - This division is the primary combative unit of the Global Occult Coalition, acting as the G.O.Cs spear and hand. PHYSICS unit consists of different squadrons within it, those being the Assessment Teams and Strike Teams. The Assessment Teams are responsible for investigating and assessing threats for the G.O.C. The Strike Teams are responsible for being the tip of the spear for the GOC, acting as assault teams.
PSYCHE - The PSYCHE division is responsible for diplomatic relations with other organizations that are not directly a part of the Coalition, such as the Foundation or Chaos Insurgency. This division is dedicated toward ensuring peace between organizations whenever possible to reduce the need for war and battle.
PTOLEMY - This division is the Research Department of the G.O.C. They are responsible for conducting experiments and innovating new technologies all for the purpose of destroying para-threats. They are the brain of the G.O.C.
What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
The Coalition operates under a "Five-Fold Mission" which it was founded with. The Five-Fold Mission includes 5 different goals that the G.O.C aims to constantly achieve, and defines what the Coalition exists for. The Five-Fold Mission is as follows;
1. Survival - The primary objective of the G.O.C is to ensure that humanity survives against any anomalous threat. Above all, this is what the G.O.C strives to do.
2. Concealment - The secondary objective of the Coalition is to conceal the existance of anything anomalous. Failure to complete this goal would result in mass panic and chaos, and allow for powerful figures to even weaponize these para-threats and go against the Coalitions primary goal.
3. Protection - The G.O.C believes in individuality and the protection of human beings. Their tetriary goal is to protect any individual, however this mission can be voided if necessary and in pursuit of the first mission.
4. Destruction - The Coalition believes that the existance of anomalies, no matter what it is, is a threat to humanity. As such, they will not take any unnecessary risk to ensure the survival of para-threats. The Coalition will actively seek to destroy any para-threat it deems to be threatening to humanities survival.
5. Education - The Coalitions final mission is to expand their knowledge on anomalies and better understand them when possible. The more educated humanity is on the nature of these anomalies, the safer they can be.
Please explain The Seventh Occult War:
The Seventh Occult War occured during the Second World War where the SS Ahnenerbe and the Thule Society attempted to complete the Rite Of Solomon, which if completed, would turn the Nazi Regime into a powerful organization which could master magic. This, in turn, would've turned the tide of the 2nd World War and potentially destroy humanity. This is the primary incident that led to the creation of the Global Occult Coalition, which aimed to take further preventative measures against incidents like this.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
The Global Occult Coalition is a very unique Group of Interest because of their power and their goals. Most people in the SCP Community widely accept that the Global Occult Coalition is on-par in terms of power with the SCP Foundation. However, most other groups of interest strive to benefit themselves or simply entertain themselves. The Global Occult Coalition is an almost entirely neutral group, with their only goal being to defend humanity as a whole. The only difference between GOC and the Foundation is their view on how to defend humanity, which I find very interesting. No other group truly has ambitions such as the GOC, and I think their ability to be entirely neutral and their beliefs make them unique.

Alden Verlice was originally born in Sarasota, Florida, U.S.A. Verlice lived a standard life in his childhood with no notable events. Alden was enlisted in a public school, and achieved his High School Diploma when he turned 18 years old at Sarsota High-School. During Alden Verlices childhood, he briefly worked at a U.P.S Packaging facility at the age of 16, where he lifted heavy packaging around the facility for delivery. During this same period, Verlice took an interest when approached by a Military Recruiter in his high school, who offered Alden a potential military career.
Alden was always fascinated by people who served as first responders and those who served in the U.S Military, being amongst the most powerful forces on this planet who use that power to generally protect others. And to Alden, that was a beautiful thing. He loved helping other people, he loved protecting other people whenever he was able to. It made him feel good, knowing he could actually do something. With this in mind, Alden took up the Recruiters offer to join the military. When Alden turned 18 and graduated high school, he eventually enlisted into the United States National Guard for Florida, given that it was his hometown and where he ended up living for the majority of his life. Alden would serve as a National Guard in the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team. For the most part, Alden got to do what he always wanted to.
In 2010, Alden along with 2,500 other soldiers were going to be deployed between Kuwait and Iraq as the United States retreated their forces from the region. The National Guard was called upon by the United States Army to assist in maintaining peace and liberty of American civilians who were being evacuated. Soon, this day came. Alden Verlice was deployed and on the ground in a hostile and dangerous environment, along with a team of 42 other soldiers along a sector in Iraq. The purpose of this squadron was to protect this sector as another squad assisted in attempting to move high-tech American equipment and retreat it back to his home country. This assignment wasn't anticipated to be dangerous at the time.
During Alden's assignment, he suddenly heard a blast from the distance. This blast felt almost unnatural to him, being quick and condensed compared to a blast of a normal explosive. All nearby guards of the Squadron immediately picked up their heads, aimed their weapons, and scanned the area for any threat they could see, or anything to explain the noise. The guards saw nothing. Eventually, a squad of four was sent out to scout the area with their weapons drawn. After a few minutes, gunfire was heard, followed by screaming. Within seconds, the gunfire stopped. The Squadron got behind whatever cover they had and aimed into the forest, reporting the engagement over the radio. Reinforcements were supposedly coming to arrive and assist.
After a few moments of silence and scanning, gunfire began ringing out in the area again. Several shots of blue emerged from the trees and immediately shot down 23 Guards in the head with unbelievable accuracy. When the original guards fell, a team of 12 soldiers wearing red and black uniforms rushed out of the forest. They all began firing upon the remaining guards. Alden took cover behind his vehicle and watched as his friends who he worked with and slept next to for so long died, so fast. All of the training they were put through, just to die in mere seconds to a small group of soldiers. Alden snapped out of it, and decided to return fire. He got his sights aimed onto a single soldier, and fired a full rifle mag into the one soldier. About 22 shots hit the soldier, but it had less effect than usual. After being filled with holes, the soldier simply grunted and kneeled down for a second, before looking back up and shooting at Alden , just barely missing his head before Alden took back behind cover. The injured soldier held his wounds and got back up, clearly in pain, but still alive. Within a few seconds, the soldier began healing from his wounds. Alden couldn't believe was he was seeing. He heard the screams of his comrades as he panicked, unsure of what to do.
After a few more seconds, the injured soldier came around the corner of Alden's humvee that he was hiding behind and grabbed him before he even knew it. The soldier threw Alden against the car with superhuman strength, nearly cracking his bones with a single hit. Alden dropped his gun from the pain and shock, and tried to fight back. Alden was a good fighter in Close Quarters Combat, but his techniques did so little to the soldier. The soldier bashed Alden against the humvee again, dropping him on the ground as the soldier looked down upon him. The soldier aimed a weapon at Alden, a black handgun with a light blue line going through the middle. It seems straight out of a bad sci-fi movie, but it was there.. and deadly. Alden closed his eyes, aware that nothing he could say or do would stop what was going to happen. Then, Alden heard what he thought would be the final sounds he'd hear; a gunshot.
Several gunshots rang out near Alden. He opened his eyes to find out that the soldier was shot clean through his skull. The soldier dropped dead immediately, almost seeming like a normal human in his death. Other members of the Guard and nearby squads responded to the S.O.S from earlier, arriving in Humvees and even an attack helicopter that the guard brought handy to assist the Army with. The soldiers returned fire on the other arriving guardsmen, causing heavy damage to their vehicles and loss of even more personnel. Another guard, who was unfamiliar to Alden, came up to him and offered his hand. Alden took it, and picked up his rifle. Alden then fought with the rest of the guardsmen, determined to get back into the fight despite his injuries. It hurt, but he had to. Only a few people from his squad remained, he didn't want to see the same happen to anyone else. He was done panicking.
After a short couple of minutes, the gunfire ceased. All 12 soldiers were dead on the ground, riddled with bulletholes of many different calibers. Many Guardsmen were injured or dead from the conflict, retreating to the combat medics on scene. Alden himself sustained no further injuries from the conflict beyond the pain of being tossed around like a rag doll. Alden spoke to the other guardsmen, thanking them for saving his life and the lives of his comrades. Then, out of curiosity, Alden went to inspect one of the soldiers. He wanted to know what they were, because clearly, they couldn't possibly be human. But, to Alden's surprise, they were. Atleast, they appeared to be. During his inspection, Alden found a chinese-issued radio on one of the dead soldiers. Alden couldn't understand what this meant, but he got very little time to understand. Alden was ordered to retreat back to the medics to be cared for and transported back home to heal and investigate what just happened.
Alden soon arrived back home in Florida. However, the investigation was strange to him. Men claiming to be from the United Nations approached him and got a description of what happened and what Alden had found. The U.N "Investigators" seemed almost unsurprised as Alden told his story. At the end of the interview, the Interviewers discussed amongst themselves privately after getting Alden's statement. Eventually, they came to a conclusion. The Interviewers then identified themselves to Alden as part of a division within the United Nations called the Global Occult Coalition. They informed Alden of everything relevant about the GOC, their mission, and offered to recruit him after he served in the United Nations as a Peacekeeping Infantry Soldier unit for some years.
