What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Currently, a huge chunk of equiped perma primary weapons are just different ARs, such as the ARX, AS-VAL, FN2000 etc., while other weapons types, such as shotguns or SMGs get almost no use.
This suggestion is aimed to change that.
Now, the perma weapons could be equiped per weapon category (AR, Shotgun etc.), not per weapon slot (Primary, Secondary). This would mean that you could, for example, have the FN2000 and the SPAS-12 equiped at the same time.
However it would still be locked to 1 weapon per category (so no 2 ARs).
They would show up in the respawn menu and would be toggleable individually (i.e. if you dont want your AR you could keep your shotgun and so forth), just like permas are now.
And before you might think: "Oh that would make someone too OP, having all these guns!" Let me remind you, its already possible to do. Only time consuming.
This can already be done in a roundabout way, as you can equip one perma, go to the Armory NPC, and equip the second one, and you will get both. And you need to re-do it every respawn, as you just essentially choose another perma but keep the old one for the life. But this makes this much simpler and more official.
You might also think: "Just use the weapon you spawn in with normally." 2 things. Some jobs spawn with sub-par primary weapons or without a certain category you fill with your first perma AND permas allow you a weapon you can learn and use consistenly across all combative jobs. Also attachements.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
More weapon variety
No more only having your perma AR for most of the encounters, with the LMG you picked up/spawned in handling the rest. Now you can switch to your second trusty weapon and go ham.
This could also help break the AR/LMG/Sniper meta, where this is what you use majority of the time.
Ease of use
As I said, you can already do this. But you need to re-do it. Every. Time. You. Respawn. Gets annoying after the 5th one. This just simplifies the process. And you know, it might not be that bad on CI or GENSEC, but on like Combat Medic...oof.
Indirect kinda "buff" to other types of primary perma weapons
In my opinion the reason for why people do not use permas outside of ARs is not because of how viable the other primary weapon types are, but it is the cost of what you cannot use while having these equiped. An AR is useful always, a Shotgun is only sometimes. Not even a hard choice, but with this choice, you wont need to make it.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Server Entities
Yep...this would be an issue. Having a weapon you only use rarely consistently in your loadout would be an extra entity. I suppose you could pray that the community disables their permas if they dont want to use em.
Or just limit it to 2 primary weapons from a different category, that works too.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Overall, I think this could improve the player experience with using other weapon types outside of ARs, as well as improve the viability and the public opinion on these weapon types.
You cannot even call this a buffin the sense of making something better, as you can already do it, even without permas and just with money.
