Content Suggestion Amnestics obscure IC communication logs

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

When someone is amnesticated, all the messages posted in character chats (comms, yelling etc) should be marked in a different colour going back to when that specific amnestic would take effect, such as having them all show up greyed out from their pespective, or in a different text colour (red for instance)

This would allow the newer amnsetic times to be better tracked, and allow players to take advantage of possible sloppy use of shorter-length amnsetication by being able to see the exact moment they cannot remember up to. This would need to have options to change the colour in case of visual imparement

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
No

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  1. Better tracking of IC memory loss
  2. Encourages proper timing of amnestics
  3. Allows for more seamless continuation of RP as people know where they left off
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  1. May make it harder for people to report OOC issues raised in IC chats (someone being inappropriate in comms for instance)
  2. May cause issues with existing graphics settings
  3. May be hideously ugly and annoying for players

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

I think if done tastefully and not in a hideous looking manner, this would really help players to RP around amnestics as opposed to having them act as a hard road block that they currently do, even for players who are keeping track of what is going on around them IC

I'm not for blurring or getting rid of messages , I would prefer they have a marker say "[comms] (old) Will who: hey" or something like that

Does having chat time stamps turned on not solve this a lot?

I'm still pro the idea but I feel like this is easy enough to do without a whole new feature 🤔
This relies upon players being able to add and subtract without fucking up, also if a lot of messages are going on it can be a real pain to find the exact point you forgor from
