Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
Some warns, a kick and a ban.
Oct 7 - No elaboration, message simply says "You have bee" and nothing more.
Nov 2 - Fucked up and used /oc instead of /ooc and infoleaked the GOC
Jan 7 - Magdumped a hostile D-class as 912 while passive breached (counted as teaming)
Tue 5 - Attacked DEA that first attacked CI or the other way around as 912 on surface while being taken by CI (teaming, prioritized the things in the article over server rulings)
Sep 20 - put a weight on my arrow keys while taking a shit to prevent an AFK kick on 912
Nov 19 - https://civilnetworks.net/community/threads/scp-rp-uk-ban-appeal-hazmat-harry.35359/ goes in depth on it, boils down to i felt bad for 682 bc someone metad the breach queue as well as us instantly calling it out due to being in the chamber when it breached, and attempted to hack it out instead of letting a moderator handle it (Failrp for breaching an SCP as RSD, Failrp for teaming with 682 by hacking it, NITRP for hacking 682 instead of letting a moderator do it, Naming con due to doing a rp bit that wasn't approved, Metagaming should be removed, see Merricks response)
The two after that are the same ban that appear multiple times.

Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
So far a lot of my roleplay has been on RSD, and I have quite enjoyed helping newer players and accompanying others on their research (and even on other jobs i usually help RSD in some way). Being an executive also means I will be looking at a lot more documents from other people, and as such be better informed about what the rest of RSD is doing dynamically without having to interact with the abomination that is vcomputers.
Being an executive also means I have less rp downtime due to naturally being more involved with RSD, but also have more to do during downtime.
Beyond that I also wish to do something to incentivize researchers giving lectures, some may consider it boring but I personally feel its a great way to keep rsd personnel up to date with themselves as well as more involved with eachother. One of the best things is being able to enthusiastically present things you are excited about, and I want to give people the opportunity to do so or even the realization that they can.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
I am very active on the server, and id say pretty well known by a lot of people.
So far I have also helped several Jr Researchers by overseeing their tests, giving feedback, and just giving a general tour around site as well as explaining various OOC things they should know. I've also quite enjoyed doing this.
I would also consider myself a part-time wiki dweller and as such id say I have a lot of knowledge about the foundation and the universe it resides in.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
So far I have not written any excellent-graded documents, but all documents I have written are of average rating or above.
What I believe makes a testing document excellent/good in general is;
- SCP's/other tools are used in creative ways.
- The test goals/objectives are beneficial to foundation operations, be it new containment procedures or safety protocols etc.
- A proper hypothesis is present.
- The testing procedure is descriptive and well-thought out in relation to the hypothesis.
- Risk assessment and Safety procedures are properly done to ensure minimal losses, both material losses and making sure everybody leaves the test alive (apart from D-class if their death is guaranteed)
- The testing log is descriptive as to what happens.
- The test conclusion is logical and of reasonable impact to further rp (more tests involving the results, a change in containment procedures, or even stuff like project keyhole that Lebronic and John were doing)
- The entire document contains minimal grammar/spelling mistakes (Though with leniency to those with dyslexia/similar issues, as I view this as a minor point unless it fucks up the document to a point where it gets difficult to read)
- The document contains relevant imagery that adds to the document.
- The document contains enough information such that someone without prior information about what you are testing on can deduce on what it is/does.
- There is clear effort put into the document.
- The test opens up great roleplay opportunities within the test itself.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Most obviously you authorize documents (or be a middleman to bring them to those that can authorize it) and answer any questions about RSD to the best of your ability, both to members and non-members of the Research department. You also assist with testing of other researchers, both during and afterwards. And of course due to being a leader of one of the three starting departments, you handle informing people about important IC matters such as how to run tests and what the CoC is, as well as OOC matters such as information access.
Other than that, the more simple duties of an executive are:
- Grade documents
- Authorize testing/sampling or forward it to those that can authorize it
- Give feedback on proposed testing documents
- Operate blast doors (most often PW, but others as well should other personnel not be available to do so)
- Be a reliable first point of contact for the Research department
- Create roleplay situations and get people, especially newer people, involved.
- Generally involve people in roleplay where it does not conflict with InfoSec
- Be a representative of the Research department when needed
- And most importantly, make sure everybody is having fun
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xNqJ0z19tnRwFq5lfavR1K9D9bKDgU6ax5maB5ZXdKM/edit?usp=sharing (lore doc)
As for storylines, Armstrong is currently within a project with A-1 where he develops weaponry for that department. He's currently also (slowly) working on a project to declare SCP's sentient or not, but thats more of a rsd project thing rather than a "storyline".
Other than that Armstrong would likely be involved with any projects/storylines involving paratech in general as well as things related to his background as a Mekhanite/nature as a cyborg.
