For how long have you played on CG SCP: I have ~200 hours on the server at the moment and have been playing for almost 3 months now, almost every day.
Age: 19
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Arthur
Civilian name: Arthur
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- CI-A and Nu-7 PVT. I still am in CI-A but I am not in Nu-7 anymore because I was inactive due to a vacation 1 day after I passed tryouts. (I am also KeterVIP which is technically a whitelist I think).
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- I have never been kicked or banned, I have 3 warnings but 2 are invalid. The one active warning was for RDM and to be 100% honest I do not remember it because it was a while ago. I originally joined the server to minge and mess around with my friend (I didn’t even know what SCPs were) but then I thought this server was super fun so I started playing it like hours and hours every day.
Why are you applying for Chief of Medicine?
- When I am playing on the server I am almost always playing combat medic and I really really enjoy it. I wanted to apply for Chief of Medicine because I constantly see trainees asking how to heal people with cuffs on or running around causing random problems. I also see someone asking for their medical license every time I am online and I feel bad that I can’t help them get their licenses when they ask me how I got mine. I also have spent some of my time as combat medic teaching trainees how to do everything and I find it super fun, so if that gets to be something people come to me for I would really enjoy it.
What makes you suitable for Chief of Medicine?:
- I think that I am a pretty likable and patient person which, from what I have observed, are very important parts of being a higher up in most departments. I also do spend a lot of my time on the server playing medical staff and am currently level 24.9 support (and lvl85 total). I have also passed my medical license test twice and have taught trainees how to be medical staff until they too got their medical license.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- Curing a Fracture:
1)Heal them to make sure they aren’t bleeding while you are working on their medicine.
2)Ask whoever received the fracture to lie in the scanner and then look at the screen to see where the fracture is.
3)Go to the medicine cabinet and use !medic to purchase calcium(for whatever was broken), a beaker and a drug jar.
4)They will spawn in the correct order to put the calcium into the beaker and then into the drug jar.
5)Ask the patient to take the medicine inside the drug jar and it should repair their fracture.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Medicine in RP?:
- The Chief of Medicine helps the Director of Medicine with his duties. That includes guiding the other medical staff and training the medical staff. People in this position also perform psych evaluations and tests trainees to see if they can get their medical licenses. The Chief and The Director of Medicine both work closely with Ethics as we are a very important part of keeping the foundation ethical.
Please give some lore about your Chief of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
(I am horrible at working with lore and creativity which is why I don’t play researcher much.)
From my starts as a little trainee I quickly worked my way up the medical ranks by healing the poor and injured D-Class. As a doctor, it might surprise people but I actually have very very poor eyesight. This originally was not much of a problem but as people started asking me to do more demanding medical procedures I was having trouble due to my lack of visual aid. I also occasionally had problems with memetic hazards because I would see them before being able to make out what they were. To combat this problem I found that one of the foundation's SCP-096 buckets could be used to cover my face and almost completely block out my vision. Unfortunately, most people do not want a visually impaired doctor to be doing intensive surgeries on them or do they want a doctor with a goofy bucket on his head. Due to this the foundation had to make a choice of removing me from the medical department, or to promote me to Chief of Medicine so that I could teach others what I had learned so that they could take my place as doctors.
