What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion would add an automatic toggle for teslas to turn off when no C5/4/3 is called after 10+ minutes of the code being declared concluded (content team can decide, that was just a number I thought of thinking about the suggestion).
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Using the forums' awkward advanced search, I have not been able to find this being suggested before
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Lower casualty rates to the biggest threat to foundation personnel, server lag and teslas being left on
- Less rewarding the site for leaving teslas on 24/7
- Less need to try and find a CL4 to turn them off during non-C3/4/5 times
- More incentive to check teslas at the start of a C5/4/3 being called (there have been times teslas have been off for tens of minutes in a breach because no one checked)
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- 008 tests will need an extra E-11 to make sure teslas are on throughout the test
- Low pop breach balance affected, although I'd support this feature being active based on server population
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Teslas are left on like, a LOT. It's not only a pain when playing as SCP as foundation are rewarded for leaving them on 24/7, but they are also a pain for humans. D class dying to them while cuffed, server lag deciding it's your time to die in a tesla, a traffic jam of people getting past a tesla, it feels really unfun to die to a tesla that shouldn't be on (following IC policy at least) or lose d class due to the guard not being careful enough. It can also be played in the IC aspect of saving costs - why have the tesla on when there's no SCP threat? Why waste the money on the electricity and risk the (questionable with where they work) safety of foundation personnel?
This suggestion I believe would be a QOL addition that would save people time and frustration.
Bonus clip of the tesla remembering it's a pitbull named princess
I'm not good at writing this part really. That's the suggestion!
